When you load us into an activity late

Maybe drop us in closer to the fireteam? Maybe I'm nitpicking but I should not have to run for 4 solid minutes to catch up to the rest of the fireteam. Especially when I have bounties that require me to, you know, actually kill stuff.         • If the other one or two are waaaaayyyy off in the distance, then just leave. I find it quicker to go back to orbit and try again, than run all the way to catch up in time for the chest. Jeez, and if Miss Adventure gets you one the way, it's another half a minute of thumb twiddling. I agree though, that it's handy sometimes when one strike is required, and then you only have to kill a thousand or so dregs with a packet of wet noodles [i]outside the strikes[/i] to get the bounty thingy.

          Today it worked in my favour lol, dropped into nightfall heroic with 30% left on the boss and got a Prism. I laughed so hard. Winning! Bwahaha :D I upvoted though, I would have just reload the whole thing cause don't have the patience to run through the whole map.

        • I absolutely hate it when the game does that. They sometimes even put barriers in to prevent players from getting too far without a full fireteam but that means nothing when you spawn all the way back at the beginning. There needs to be dedicated checkpoints to load you in once your team passes them. As for forges, they should've made us manually activate it rather than have it start immediately upon the first person spawning in. Kills afk forging completely but I'd rather lose that then have to fail a forge multiple times because people either immediately left or are still loading in.

          • Late load ins/joins are just a mess in d2. I definitely don't remember having to stop and wait 5 mins to continue a strike just because someone joined in d1.

          • I was playing a couple of days back running strikes, and I loaded into a strike that was at the boss so I lifted, but when I started up the search again it put me back in that same strike only to watch the menu come up showing it was over 😄

            • Think of it this way, as this is how I'm assuming it works. When you find say, a strike, it finds out where they are in the strike when your game initially finds them, and tries to put you SLIGHTLY behind them (or on them in a boss fight) so you dont get spawn killed. But loading takes time, and by the time you get there, theyve moved on. So I would assume, the shorter the load time, the less of a problem. Sooo... next gen? Lol

              • Strikes are in a pretty bad state. Worst part is the bounty based system which makes strikes super sweaty with speedrunners vs completionist, rare sense of teamwork

                • Whenever I play gambit for my weekly pinnacle I secretly pray that I get put into the end of the game so I don’t have to actually play, same with strikes lol 😂

                  • Joining running missions or events has been more prevalent through each concurrent season and i'd agree that it's currently at its worst. Forges in particular, joining just as the timer runs down to zero is pretty rubbish. Also getting joins on abandoned instances - so start a strike for instance and you load in to a random part of a halfway complete, 25 minutes on the clock, instance with no other fireteam members to be found. "Yay, guess i'm the clean up crew..." It's ace.

                    • It’s not just that - loading at the front. It’s also respawning you way back from the area you are in if you die - and then punishing you more if you die again by pushing you FURTHER back. Add the insanely long wait to respawn times and it’s Bungle’s way of dumping on you for playing
