Possible to change/reset account linked to Steam?
I'm trying to change the account linked to my Steam profile, preferably to a new account. I've tried linking a different platform, and then unlinking the Steam account but whenever I launch the game or sign in to bungie.net with that Steam account it automatically links back to the same data. I've even tried removing Destiny 2 license from my Steam account but nothing seems to work.
Cross save isn't an option because I don't own a console and would like to be able to still make DLC purchases through Steam.
I'd really like to avoid making a new Steam account for a single game..

Your Destiny game data is permanently tied to the Steam account that it was created on, and you cannot “unlink” that data. If your intent is to start fresh, you cannot fully wipe the game data from your Steam account. You would either need to start a new character on your current Steam account, so you’d still have some triumphs and such unlocked, or use a different Steam account for a 100% clean slate start.
