So me, my GF and my friend were watching some lore videos about Destiny, lore videos about the Nine to be more precise. we came across this video where someone found an Easter Egg radio transmission: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT1j3z-TgU0
I am the door.
I open to the void
One day my masters will step forth
And then, you will know
After listen to it me and my friend thought it was the Emissary like most people did too, but my GF mentioned that it sounds way more like the Exo Stranger then the Emissary. After listening to it over and over and even listen to other videos where the Exo Stranger speaks, i watched the Beyond light trailer, the part where the Exo Stranger says "the line between light and dark is so very thin, lets cross it together" https://youtu.be/Ms90okhAbTw?t=55 . the 2 voices sound practically the same. this made us believe that the Exo Stranger works for the NINE, her masters are the NINE.
In D1 when your on Venus in the Ishtar academy she comes to see you and talks to you and she says "I have not time to explain why i have no time to explain". Also she keeps talking to someone, we believe that she was talking to the NINE and that the part of the transmission where she says "One day my masters will step forth and then, you will know" she means when the NINE finally reveal themselves we will finally understand what she didn't have time to explain.

3 RepliesIt is speculated that the exo stranger was talking to a future version of our guardian.

10 RepliesThat’s interesting. One correction: we know she wasn’t talking to the Nine on the comms in D1 because whoever she was speaking to was in a ship. She told them to kill the engines. The Nine have no physical form. Perhaps she is related to the Nine, but so far there’s no evidence towards it. Lore gives her ties with The Device/Machine which seems to be directly related to her ability to time travel, as well as FWC. Because of these ties the most likely theory we have is that she is connected with the original team that worked on the Device during the Golden Age and eventually became the FWC, though she may be from a different timeline and/or the future.

2 RepliesThe emissary and the exo stranger have the same voice actor in D2 And also, that Easter egg came out in year 1 of D2. So it's definitely the emissary of the nine and not the exo stranger

Edited by Shockwave 989: 7/18/2020 12:07:27 PMDoesn’t seem plausible just given the fact that the Exo Stranger is a timeline hopping time traveller. There’s also the simple fact that both Xur and the Emmisary, who are both ambassadors of sorts, are both permanently altered and scarred by the Nine transforming them into their Agents. If anything half the community has our fingers crossed that we’ll finally see the other side of the Strangers radio conversation play out. But it’s Bungie, anything is possible even if it takes a retcon or two. It also seems like the Exo Stranger is now voiced by the same voice actress as the Emissary. That Exo effect isn’t enough to hide that fact.
