Rework for Sturm due to Drang Sunsetting?

So as we all know Sturm the exotic 110 needs Drang a legendary sidearm to activate its Exotic perk "Storm and Stress" which reloads and adds an extra bonus damage round into Sturm's magazine upon a kill, up to a max 99 bullets in the mag for a total of 87 Bonus Damage rounds. Now the problem is that Drang will be virtually useless due to sunsetting, same thing with Mida Mini Tool, but Mida Multi Tool isn't as punished unlike Sturm which will be left with only a reload energy weapon on kills perk. I haven't heard officially what is going to be done about Drang or Mida Mini for the future. Its likely these weapons will get re-added a third time up to light in a future season or even the theory that they will be life exotics that can be equipped with their respective weapons. Now personally I don't know about either, but a third solution could be to just rework Sturm's "Storm and Stress" Perk to work with all sidearms not just Drang. It would allow for more flexibility with the 110 exotic on top of allowing Bungie to not have to re-introduce a weapon for a third bloody time because said weapon was in the blast radius of poor design choices (Thats my opinion though and whats done is done.) Not sure how anyone else would feel about this, but honestly thats why I had a bad feeling about Sturm when was using it. I love exotic 110's even if they aren't the greatest at everything type of weapon like 150 HCs and 600 Autos I still love them for the powerful feeling they gave me, I was always a fan of the underdog weapons even back in D1 when I got First Curse and everyone was saying it was garbage, I took that thing into Trials and slammed people down with it. Even some moments in PvE in D1 were great with it since it could just slap down adds in one shot. It was special and it felt earned. Sturm was the same for me in D2, everyone made fun of it and called it trash, but I loved the thing even if it had its flaws. But hopefully Bungie does something with it rather than leaving it to rot. As it still is a fun weapon to use.

Same for the Mida Multi Tool and Mida Mini Tool synergy. This keeps being brought up, but we'll never get confirmation from Bungie so have to wait until November. Probably an oversight and they don't realise what they're doing.

  • yeah the perk need some kind of rework, same goes for Mida Multitool. i do like the solution you came up with by making any sidearm work with the perk instead. i mean they could do the lazy solution and just make it work with any energy weapon, would honestly make strum a terrifying weapon in both PVE and PVP, but heck its an Exotic it need to be good
