Please fix drop chance of Refurbished Black Armory shader
The only thing standing in my way of getting my blacksmith seal is the collections requirement. The one thing I don’t have is the Refurbished Black Armory shader. I’ve done so many forges and dismantled so many weapons with this shader on it. The fact that a blue shader has such a small chance of dropping is just ridiculous to me. Nobody at Bungie will probably read this but I’m just so frustrated and I’m fed up with grinding the forges just to get nothing out of it. If the drop chance could be increased, or guaranteed, that’d be great. This grind for a rare shader is not worth it, how could anyone think that it’s drop chance makes sense? Getting more pissed every time I dismantle a refurbished weapon and it doesn’t drop. Bungie, please do something about this.

Took me over a year from when Black Armory came out to get this shader. I probably dismantled over a thousand weapons that randomly drop during forges, and the Forge Saboteurs only ever dropped a weapon once or twice. Yet one of my friends casually remarked, "yeah, I've dismantled that shader like ten times."

I agree it’s ridiculous. If the legendary new age black armory shader is a guaranteed drop, then Theres no reason a BLUE shader should be the more difficult to acquire.

Bungie: Don't worry. We'll be removing the Forges in 2021 for the DCV. Remembe: why fix something if you can just remove it.

I farmed this for so so so long. Probably dismantled 60 weapons before I got it. 😒 Easily the hardest shader that I've worked to get. Keep at it, it does drop eventually.

4 RepliesThe refurbished black armory shader only drops on the prototype guns afaik. And these guns can be found mostly from the special shielded armory VIPs.

It’s very ‘rare’ for a blue shader. It took my over a year and I gave up. Then we got forced to go back into the forge a few months ago and picked it up.
