Mountaintop on console is A problem
Give them 1 shot, and no ADS, people just chip and rush with sidearms, it’s lame

Its blast radius should be toned down. Only direct impact should kill.

1 ReplyBuddy suggested an easy fix to MT the other day. Keep its perks and everything the same just make it like other grenade launchers where you press and hold the fire button and release in order to detonate. Also remove the ability to explode on contact with the ground. This would keep it good in pve since people like to snipe with it, and make it have a skill gap in pvp that pays homage to the launchers you used to get the thing in the first place.

Mountaintop on pc is a problem too, its the only reason I stay away from comp. I have never ever hated a weapon in destiny as much as I hate the mountaintop with D1 thorn coming in second. I seriously hate this OP launcher, its so forgiving and deals so much damage. Its also extremely hard to evade which is probably why I hate too, I cant jump because warlock jumps are slow as hell, I cant slide because it has a massive AOE and takes half my health anyway. Cant be behind cover because again, it has a massive AOE. Unless the person misses, there is no other way to outplay mountaintop. I actually cant wait for the sunset to happen, I cant wait to see that thing get put down.

4 RepliesYou know that any grenade launcher can accomplish what Mt. Top does, right? Like the only thing Mt. Top has for it is micro missile. People just never knew how to aim other ones or how to use the perks with them. Like some, you can control the detonation by holding the fire button and letting go when you want it to go off on one, for example.

Someone watched a mtashed video. The same clown that makes a video with other 5 top streamers to “dunk” on casuals to rob them of fun but god forbid someone robs him of his with a mountaintop. I had a dude yesterday tried to tag me with one all game. I’m not that great at pvp and I moved out of the way. Hunters rule.

Its a problem ppl created them selves. Community: "Mountain top quest is too hard" Bungie: "nerfs mountaintop quest" making it easier to get. Community: "mountain top is now a problem in pvp"

I mean... Chip with Sidearms is kind of the point with a breach launcher... This also doesn't begin to factor that being in the air makes Mountaintop a lot less practical. You have summoned me.

They may not do anything honestly, your the only person here complains on the forums, and it’s being sunset. It’s not even the most used weapon on console. I doubt it’s getting a nerf (especially with it on the sunset list).

3 RepliesIt's been a problem for a year and a half now on all systems. Not only is it the best over all op weapon for all pve content but put it in the hand of someone who is slightly decent in pvp and it becomes the most reduculously broken weapon in there also. It should have been nerfed way back when they nerfed recluse. I don't like calling for nerfs but there are some guns that are just broken and need to be nerfed. Mountain top is one. Jotunn and bastion need nerfs also.

It ain't gonna change, especially since the crucible gear is still viable for crucible, as its not level based like Iron Banner. Even for the next three years the crucible pinnacles will still be the best crucible guns.

Been seeing nothing but revoker, mountaintop, sidearms to combo with revoker, and 600 rpm autos in Trials. Definitely need changes.

It’s always been a problem everywhere. We’re just fortunate enough that most people have enough dignity not to use it in crucible.
