This reset, alrdy done at least thw weekly strikes, crucible and now the season questline of this week. Zero pinnacle reward. I received exactly the same light lvl in item i alrdy had (1 weapon and 2 pieces of armor)... This way is ahrd to go up. Anyone with this issue?

Same here, 3 or 4 primary weapons in a row... Wtf bungie?
-
I did a Dungeon last Tuesday and it dropped the same light level for a pinnacle reward. They are usually 2 light levels higher. I don’t thing this is RNG it’s a bug that needs fixing by Bungie. I also know other members reporting the same issue. Bungie please fix ASAP.

4 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 7/16/2020 2:19:03 PMThe bigger issue isn’t the +1/+2 system etc It’s the lack of record/recognition of the last ‘pinnacle’ reward PATHWAY Bungie could easily implement a system that ties a specific Armour/Weapon Pinnacle to a Pinnacle Task Changing up every weekly reset •PINNACLE TASK example 3x Vanguard Strikes = +1 Heavy 3x Gambit Matches = +1 Class Item 4x Crucible Playlist = +1 Arms 1x 100k Nightfall = +2 Primary Weapon 1x Grandmaster Hunt = +2 Legs 1x Grandmaster Nightfall +3 Random (Recognises Pinnacle gaps in Gear) 1x Pit of Heresy = +2 Armour (recognising which pinnacle armour was obtained/required) 1x Prophecy Dungeon = +3 Armour (see above) 1x GoS Raid = +3 Energy Weapon (you know it’s gonna be an energy weapon 😆) Trials & Seasonal (Interference) give +2 Random Gear (fills gaps in missing loot - probably Raid) {I’ve probably missed a pinnacle reward? 🤔) With this type of system you can see a pathway to a higher boost, one that changes weekly to allow a climb in Gear Score Oh and whilst I’m thinking Make the Prime Engram an absolute prize ....ranging anything from +2 to +7 in Power Boost, or a high level 70+ stat Exotic (+3 cap) Giving the joy of actually gaining one, going to a Cryptarch, & it being worth something upto & after the (currently 1050) legendary gear cap!

2 RepliesSame issue here. Pinnacle drops are as low as 3 points below my current level to equal. Rarely ever 1 point higher.
-
Same here
-
Yep. Seems to be rampant. During IB week I got 5 +2 pinnacles to drop on my kinetic weapon on my Titan. I already had that level on all my characters, so it was 5 wasted drops. When you are a solo player and don't do much beyond the 5 easy pinnacles, there is little way to progress. It's extremely discouraging.

The quest a +2. So in fact you did pinnacle drops it's just that they were gear you already had that were higher than your overall gear level. It sucks but that is RNG.

5 RepliesI'm at light level 1051, and I have three pieces of 1052 gear. All of my pinnacle gear drops at 1051. Powerful gear drops at 1047 to 1050. Since Tuesday I have done four Pinnacle events, and they all dropped 1051 armor.
-
Strikes, pvp, and gambit are +1. Raid, dungeons, 100k, master nightmare, iB, trials, weekly quest are +2. Its based on overall light level on character. So you can be 1055, but have items at 1053, 1054, 1055 1056, 1057. +1 will drop at 1056. +2 will drop at 1057. Works every time e every week. It can be higher or lower depending on ur current piece.

2 RepliesA lot of people don't know how the pinnacle system works and it shows.
-
Drops should be weighted to drop next light level higher 5 or 6 out of 9 pieces of gear are higher. Make prime engrams useful after light cap.

Yep everyone, except the exceptionally lucky, have this issue every season. Two seasons ago it took me 4 full weeks worth of pinnacles to get the last piece I needed at max light for example. Bad RNG is very real, but with the addition of the artifact levels players don't really need to stress as much about not having every piece maxed out. The basic strategy I use is to do two or three of the +2 pinnacles (Pit of Heresy, Prophecy, IB, Master nightmare hunt, 100K nightfall, GoS, Trials or Recaster quest) for a few pieces then use powerfuls to level out my lowest pieces. Then repeat while keeping in mind that both dungeons are guaranteed armor pieces. I usually do the +1 pinnacles (strikes, gambit, crucible and clan reward) last or if I only need a +1 to hit the next light level. With three characters and a little luck players can hit max light within a few weeks. With one it'll take a few more.

21 RepliesYeah been noticing this over several seasons. Once level cap is reached gear score improvement becomes glacial. I've also noticed that for about the first hour or two of every login i get drops about two to four levels below where i am and I have literally no idea why. Is very painful.
-
1 ReplyIt seems the only pinnacles that are legit for me is Pit, gambit weekly, and the interference mission. Everything else has been at base power or 1 short.
-
1 ReplySame my pinnacle r dropping at my light lvl and sometimes below never higher though. Gusse it's up to power lvl now. The only time I ever get higher drops is from the clan vendor.
-
artificial content and grind. they want you grinding bounties for a worthless artifact.
-
Their deliberate lack of pinnacle protection is disgusting. This is clearly intentional to artificially increase play time at the expense of the players.
-
Bungo team looks at screen and reads this post . . . . . . Everyone laughs like crazy while guy with beard and glasses makes a gesture of throwing money at the screen! . . . . . . Then they all go back playing Magic Cards! Bungie Logic!
