I've been looking around, and haven't seen anything mentioning what effect sunsetting will have on Drang or Mida Mini-tool (or their Menagerie conterparts). In game, both are listed as max power of 1060, so it appears that they will be.
The reason this is a concern is that Bungie said that Exotics won't be effected by sunsetting, but both of the mentioned Legendaries are linked to Exotics. Sturm more so, because the Drang is part of its exotic perk Storm and Stress. The Mida Mini-tool, however, has the synergy intrinsic trait on it, instead of the Multi-tool, meaning the Mida Multi-tool can survive sunsetting of its counterpart, even though it does lose out on a mobility boost.
I don't know what's happening, and I'm intrigued to hear an answer one way or the other about if or how this might be resolved.

Good. Time to move on
-
There’s a new version of Quickfang in the trailer, so I’d assume there will be for drang, MIDA mini, and the other two class swords.
-
Not bothered about the mini-tool but would be a tiny bit gutted about drang, I've a very decent roll i use in pvp (and sometimes pve) 😬
-
Cripple? Probably not. They're below average as it is, especially the Mida, it's fairly bad compared to the D1 Mida.
-
4 RepliesCrippling weapons that absolutely no one uses? That's your defending point?
-
The Sturm is pretty much useless without the Drang. Mida multi tool can work without the mini but sunsetting Drang is a roundabout way of sunsetting Sturm as well. There will have to be other ways of getting an updated version of the Drang.
-
1 ReplyGet ready for Drang and Mini-tool 3.0😂
-
i really dont want drang to be sunsetted, thats my baby. plz dont let it see the light yet
-
Mida? Not a chance. Sturm? Definitely crippled, because it's entire perk revolves around synergy with Drang. Clearly they didn't put any thought into their choices.
-
13 RepliesThey know about this. It is intentional. They are planning to retire exotics completely in the future. This is just the start. And yes, they know that almost no one supports sunsetting, but they don’t really care.
-
I'm sure theyll magically get reissued next season
-
MIDA, not so much, as only Mini actually benefited Strum is screwed without Drang
-
They will be re-released for the 3rd time... or Bungie plans on Sunsetting exotics soon. I bet its the latter here.
-
Much like how we got new EP weapon rolls, im assuming it'll be the same for those. I mean. Logically and all. But this is bungie.
-
They will simply release them again sometime in the future, just like they did with menagerie gear.
-
1 ReplyIm pretty sure it was data mined that they would be universal exotics, being able to be equipped with other exotics. Don’t quote me on that though
-
Edited by ChaseyCakes: 7/16/2020 7:10:58 PMMida no its fine without the mini tool, sturm though either needs a rework or drang needs to not be sunset
-
New versions of them are pretty obvious
-
The Mini needs The Mida. Not the other way around. And the Drang needs no one. Especially some situational buttcheeks 110
-
Edited by badben28: 7/16/2020 1:40:19 PMThey should let the drang get a New version like before and convert the drang to a special weapon like ariana's bow to keep it in a much better spot, that's what I think.
-
Seriously why do these posts keep coming up. Barely anyone uses them now anyway.
-
4 RepliesRemember Bungie developers don't think.
-
I could see new versions of these weapons being released to be acquired in BL. Reason they can't really make the current ones higher infusion is... think of the new players. New player comes in, get Sturm or the Multi-tool, how are they supposed to get the mini or the Drang then?
-
im sure its an oversight
-
6 RepliesThey’re becoming exotic.
-
Or maybe they plan to rework these exotics.
