Cosmo. Are you sunsetting pinnacles?
Most pinnacle weapons were harder to earn than any exotic, some were nearly impossible since I use no cheats. It is visible they are capped to this season but will we be able to re-purchase them from collections when the new season starts? I need to know before I can decide to purchase the next year or not. If I loose that much work I feel I can learn to love another game. Just like life. There are other fish in the sea.

Ok. I have a followup question to my own post. I have read everything I can find from bungie and typically try to keep up with their posts. But I cannot find where they mention "sunsetting". Or even talk about what their intentions with gear are. Does anyone have a link or a path to follow where I might be able to read their side of this? I know its real, I can see it on my screen, but other than forrum talk I seem to have missed the announcement. Thanks

12 RepliesNo. All legendary gear will be reset and youll have to regrind for a new version of the reissued gear if it is available. Dont buy anything, the game just became one big hamsterwheel of rotated gear and content.

Pinnacles are why sunsetting needs to happen. They are very strong and can’t be allowed to dominate forever. And you are not losing any work?

7 RepliesPinnacles are getting left behind. They will probably never return but if they do, expect the same quest again to unlock the reissued version.

2 RepliesPinnacles are why Sunsetting is happening. They made exotic weapon perks fit onto legendary weapons then they broke the sandbox. As a result, this is the only solution that Bungie can think of to get them out of the endgame to create new metas. If Bungie hadn't ever have created Pinnacles, we wouldn't be having Sunsetting right now. Fact. People need to start understanding this very simple thing about Sunsetting, and then just shut up about it. It's happening. End of.
