I know someone thought “gifting shaders but they are clogging up the post office. Often over half the stuff is shaders - and more grow when you disassemble.
Can we turn that down a notch?

6 RepliesShaders drop in batches of 3, Rahool can only handle batches of 5. It's most annoying.
-
2 RepliesJust delete all shaders? You can acquire them from collections. I got 10 favourite ones only on my character, the rest I just delete after some good grind.
-
Its been anoying me as well. Old common shaders that i have zero use for.

1 ReplyThe shader system as a whole should just be changed. It's obvious that they aren't monetizing Eververse as hard as they were at the beginning of the game. Shaders should be one time unlocks like they were in D1, but should still retain the individual armor shader function. But seriously though? Who even does different shaders on their armor pieces, unless it's an exotic they want to stand out? Bungie's only argument to this will likely be that "The shader menu would be extremely cluttered.". None of us care. It's better than having random shader drops all the time. It's so annoying having to go from collections just to get the shaders I want.
-
Shit is mad annoying
-
It's not just shaders that drop too much, IMHO. I think drops in general are far too numerous and frequent. Most of it is just duplicate junk.
-
With shaders particularly, if you have already unlocked the shader you should never obtain it again. It should be in your collections and available for nothing - no glimmer, no shards - just there to get whenever you want it.

3 RepliesSome of you obviously do not open a lot of engrams at the recaster! If you open all your engrams at the recaster you will quickly kill all the space in your PO. So then you have to quit, move back to the PO empty it then move back. Heck most of the time I have to go to the PO and clear the blues, go to the recaster to decode, go back to the PO becuase its now full but I can get rid of the normal engrams and then primes and any shaders or none godd roll weapons. Grab a few of the many umbrals, go back to the recaster, decode till the PO is full, rinse repeat. THIS WORKFLOW SUCKS!!! So first rebuttal (trying not to use the words I 'want' to use), why do you not have space in your shaders inventory to absorb that. Simple I like seeing how my favorite, which is a small portion of all the possible shaders look on individual items and thus you carry them with you. So the problem there is Bungie does not provide an efficient means for working with shaders so this is a problem. Second rebuttal, why do you have so many weapons on hand? Ahhhhh have you not ran bounties for experience? Nuff said Third rebuttal, why do you have so many engrams that you need to recast them all at once? Ahhh do you not actually play the game? A few runs of Contact, Gambit, Menagerie, or whatever and your full. Seriously you can not run more then a few of anything before you have to go clean your crap up else you loose the good stuff because the crap clogged the works. Forth rebuttal, seriously no more rebuttals this is indeed an issue that has existed since D1D1 (coughlootcavecough). Bungie did towards the end of D1 provide the wonderful kiosks which helped deeply with this problem. But that aside the PO is way to small for the current Recaster shader engram mess. Should they stop giving shaders? No, I like the legendary shards or glimmer you get of them but don;t make me loose that elusive god roll I'm farming for because shaders fill the PO clear on the other side of the Tower.

Not to mention the shaders that are STILL dropping from Year 1 destination chests.
-
2 RepliesOnly if there was a way to quickly delete them for glimmer or shards.
-
It is a bit over the top how the Shader drop rate has increased this season. Not just the ones from Umbral Engrams either. About every other chest I open drops Shaders too. Heck, yesterday I had a chest on Titan give me a dribble of Glimmer and three different common Shaders.
-
2 RepliesFree glimmer and shards. I'll take that.
-
Just stop dropping them completely and STOP CHARGING FOR THEM
-
2 RepliesToo bad they dont play their own game
-
I'm not sure anyone would really be upset if the game only dropped shaders you don't have and made you grab them from collections henceforth. Or maybe only dropped legendary shaders so you could continue dismantling then for shards or something.
-
6 RepliesThey should just be a one time unlock then you just have them for good. There shouldnt be an inventory for them.
-
I'm just surprised we don't have an auto delete blue gear and auto delete shaders option.
-
Delete them.
-
5 RepliesPoor inventory management/laziness. Delete as you get them. I never have an issue. My Post Master is always clear and Shader Inventory clear of any shaders I don't use or like.
Its funny...the way people manage their Inventory and Vaults in-game is kind of a reflection on how they manage their home and belongings IRL...
But anyways. I don't see the issue. It all dismantles into materials. I WANT more Shards and Glimmer. I shouldn't be punished for your laziness. Just delete as you go lol
-
Dude you gotta have shaders to color all that useless stuff you scrap. It’s not just for you, but also your friends stuff too even though you can’t give it to them.
-
Edited by Infamous067: 7/16/2020 2:07:19 PMWhat? Free glimmer and shards is fine with me, once I have too much I can just go to rahool and he dismantles a ton at once for me
-
The easy solution is to store or dismantle your shaders...
-
I enjoy the free glimmer and know how to manage my items
-
Dismantle them, it’s free glimmer and shards don’t complain
-
Dismantle your shaders then??
-
6 RepliesOR: Implement a silver-bought (gotta let Bungie monetize it or it will never happen) utility that lets us re-color any legendary piece with any color or color combination we want and let the people who get it forget about shaders forever.
