They were introduced recently and don't break the game. Let them have a power cap of 1360 as well

I just got a Premonition from the pit of Heresy and it’s been an absolute joy in the crucible. It’s a shame it’s getting left behind. What is the point of sunsetting the moon weapons when the moon is staying in game for next season. Does that just mean we have to go and re-earn the previous rolls we loved on these weapons? Seems redundant.

2 RepliesBungie: We hear you. That is why we are introducing, just for Moon gear, Moonsetting.
-
1 ReplyIf they start sunsetting things on a case by case basis based on how much it breaks the game then there we’re be a ton of backlash. Where do you draw the line between broken and balanced? Even the playerbase doesn’t know the answer to this. The same rules have to apply to everything whether it breaks the game or not
-
Moon, apart from the nightmare horde mode, is pointless now unless you use the weapons to up the levels. Agreed. Shadowkeep Season 1 should be given an extra season before sunsetting.
-
I'm going to miss my overflow/rampage arc logic.
-
2 RepliesThey are amazing in my opinion. Especially like the aesthetics. And I don’t get it either ... I mean that’s Shadowkeep and I personally paid for that not too long ago. The whole expansion is kind of useless now for the most part bc all the weapons are worthless. My Apostate SR with snapshot sights ... 😩

1 ReplyThe only ones I ever used were 'Love and Death' and 'Tranquility'. 'Tis a shame that the Moon will become completely irrelevant after this season, and with the weapons sunsetting, there's really no need to be on the moon again. The Moon, personally, was a boring a destination to me even back in D1.
-
moon weapons, alter of sorrow weapons, and season of undying weapons should be given a longer life
-
3 RepliesRecently, how exactly? It's been a year. And I see no one using them.
-
7 RepliesWould be nice. Especially since Blasphemer, the one and only legendary kinetic slug to exist, is among the weapons getting sunset. Was trying to farm for the curated roll on it right up until I found out the Moon weapons were among the ones getting sunset. Gave up after that because I didn't see the point.

4 RepliesIn my opinion. All location content from areas not being Vaulted should be capped to 1360. All content that is from [to be] Vaulted planets should be at 1060. This of course excludes Pinnacle weapons and other weapons found outside of these locations and they should stay at 1060. They need to go away and never come back. Pinnacles are why Sunsetting is happening. Earth/EDZ's armour for example has been updated. Nessus' hasn't, neither has the Moon's. They both, as well as the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City, should have their gear capped at 1360 ready for year 5 Sunsetting. They should also reissue the weapons from Earth and Nessus to let us use mods etc. instead of them being crappy year 1 guns no one uses. Year 4 should be the 'fresh start' Bungie want and all content staying in the game going forward from there should be raised to 1360. In my opinion. However, that requires work and effort - and that's something Bungie doesn't seem to want to do unless it's for an Ornament.
-
I'd be happy if the armor we got from Prophecy came fully masterworked like the armor from the Pit. You know, since the armor from the Pit is being sunset as well.
-
42 RepliesThey've had their time. They need to be sunset.
-
1 ReplySeeing as nightmare hunts always increase their power levels it's funny to think that weapons that were MADE TO FIGHT NIGHTMARES will be useless there.
-
Sunsetting will make me quit playing again. That will make the fourth time I've dropped this game. Never quit on D1, hmmmmm......

6 RepliesEdited by Yosemite Sam: 7/12/2020 4:02:05 PMUnpopular opinion I don't care what they sunset, mainly because even if they kept most of everything, it's still going to be way over micromanaged. This is one of the things most of everyone that doesn't want sunsetting to take place has not actually paid attention to. This game is being way over-controlled how players play the game in just about every aspect of it and restringing everything each season or any DLC starting over with leveling everything up, master working items, etc? has gotten us nowhere. The game is no further than is was the day Shadow keep released nor is your guardian. Keeping everything you want to keep is not going to help any of you in any way at all. It's all going to be micromanaged and your options will be very limited as they always have been to what you can or can't use. That's not including what they will remove that you won't be able to use with your old gear/weapons. Think about this, when they added the extra stats to the gear from the first game, the new gear was nerfed gear versus the older gear that works better in the game. The new gear was created to get most to delete the older gear, a different form of sunsetting and it worked on a lot of players. The older gear gave you opinions that were built into the gear you collected, now you don't have the option to find the gear that gives you that extra ammo for rocket launchers, Heavy ammo finder, etc. What do you think they would do if they allowed us to keep all our older gear let alone weapons? it's self-explanatory that you're to play how they want you to play and they will continue to limit our options. Your items will not work worth a damn and they would make sure of that.

Not only are they going to sunset them, I'll be you next expansion they up the power cap on all Luna related activities, and make the rewards be sunset gear you can't use in current content. XD

1 ReplyEdited by Knox Knox: 7/12/2020 2:36:08 PMGuns, guns, guns! . . . They're sunsetting guns,eh?. . . Having problems with your guns in a shooting game that requires guns?. . . LMFAO! Well, they said Destiny is now an Action game MMA whatever, game. You must buy Finishers from Eververse with real money thrown at the screen because after "Sunsetting," I think your guns will be sitting in the vault when it expires. Also called Vaulted. So Melee Finishers will be the name of the game and will trump everything with a Magic Card combo kick/punch turn magic chop combo cards! . . . That's gonna be new Meta. Like OP! By the way, don't forget to buy your seasonal Trannymogs Armor too from Eververse. Or else your guardians will be naked next season. They like balls, you know?! Okay, Bungie Bye! #sunsetsunsetting!
-
2 RepliesDont worry next season exact same weapons will be reused in world loot pool
-
3 RepliesFinally got a Spike and Full Court Love and Death THIS SEASON...lol I'm more concerned with them sunsetting our Dreambane/Nightmare armor.
-
4 RepliesWhat I don't understand..... why are we getting any weapons now that have a cap of 1060? ...... Honestly anything droppong now should at least get a years worth of use regardless of what/where you get it.
-
Nothing should be sunsetted.

1 ReplyKenshiro_Gr you make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

This just made me think of why is the dreaming city and moon still going to be around next season. Yes yes it's expensive dlc is one reason but so was the base game for people that bought it at launch so can't see that as a good reason. Everything outside of raids is gonna be useless to most people so what's the point?
