D2 Loading zones take way too long

Title, just sat through a loading screen for over 10 minutes to get to the tower to talk to the drifter. During strikes, walking into a new area/experiencing a new loading zone causes me to wait at least 2 full minutes suspended midair because I'm stuck loading. My specs pass the recommended requirements, D2 is installed on a separate SSD from the one I boot off of, it's unlikely that my wifi is the problem as my roommate who plays off the same connection does not have my problem, I tried both a wired and wireless connection and neither made a difference. When I started playing D2 it was never a problem but it's only gotten progressively worse towards the end of last season. I already bought the season pass but have played less than 2 hours this entire season because of the crazy load times, not really sure what to do at this point.

 • OK that's weird I loaded into to the tower and there was no one there, all NPC missing for a long time, over 2 mins at least maybe longer, I captured a video. Then I went to orbit and back down and it was 1 min 15 secs. Which is the normal for my XBOX 1 with SSD drive. From tweet about 10 hours ago (this could be causing issues like this)
"Destiny 2 all-day backend server maintenance has begun. Players who are returned to the title screen between activities should log back in with no further interruption."
• Hello, Have you tried clearing your download cache on Steam? Also, you could restart your modem/router.
