Someone watches aztecross. The scopes control range more, and barrels control recoil direction more. There should be a mix of weapons in the game with scopes and barrels. I think the best way to do that would be to get new foundry weapons, new veist, omolon, hakke, and suros weapons, I don't think we've seen enough of these foundries weapons.

Not sure if i should be offended by that, i'm not regurgitating anyone elses opinion, i'm perfectly capable of forming my own. Don't really follow any D2 content creators, more of a research and test stuff on my own type of guy. Anyway, the sudden extinction of scopes since.. season of the opulence(?) has left me pretty disappointed, and now that sunsetting is becoming a thing, it's becoming a legitimate concern. I know many prefer lower zoom options, but i personally can't stand weapons with piss poor effective range. When a nice long scope can amount to 50% increase in effective range, not having that option is not exactly a insignificant disadvantage. Barrels can work fine when range is of no concern, but when the distances we engage at can vary wildly, the versatility of added effective range is something i value. I don't care how they do it really. Recycle old models if you can't find the budget to model new scopes for new weapon models. Heck, for all i care they could just all be using the same scope model if that's the hurdle preventing us from having scopes on new weapons. Just bring them back, they were an important customization option allowing us to better fit our weapons to our playstyle and taste.
