Right when I learned Militia's Birthright existed, I knew I had to have one. For those who don't know, it's a lightweight grenade launcher that goes in the kinetic slot. For a while, it was the only weapon like that in the entire game. I like grenade launchers, and I knew I wanted one to help get through the grind for Mountaintop. So, when the Lake of Shadows nightfall came up, I spent hours running it to get a roll I was happy with. Why did I do this, you may ask - because that weapon was introduced as a nightfall [i]exclusive[/i]. However, I was handed one today (rolled pretty well, too) because I did a couple patrols and public events as part of the Exodus: Preparation quest? That makes zero sense. Bungie, I would really like to hear an explanation on this. I'd like to hang on to some hope that this was an honest mistake, but with the amount of re-used gear offered to us this season, that feels like misplaced hope. Seeing EP weapons come back didn't feel good as that set of weapons came from a single activity, but this takes it to another level. For EP, you could get lucky and zone in to a group already on wave 7, accidentally tag something to enter yourself into the pool for rewards, and have a weapon delivered to your postmaster even through you did nothing to try to get it. The nightfall exclusives were unique rewards you could target via only one activity, and handing them out practically for free is a slap in the face to anyone who made the conscious effort to get one. If you really do want to respect your players' time, this is not how you do it.
