Hi,
I'm trying to understand why at reset Bungie chooses to complete 4 hour maintenance. Everyone is preparing to do reset stuff, new quest etc, but then boom maintenance. It's a terrible experience.
@Bungie please consider completing the maintenance the day before or so that the updates are ready for reset instead of starting at reset.
At the time of this post didn't realise it was a backend maintenance.however maintenance on reset day. would be great if done in time for reset.
Thank you kindly

Or maybe do "reset stuff, new quest etc" during the other 167 hours in the week?

I doubt the game works like that. Probably when maintenance happens it changes the game. That's why it makes sense when the usual reset happens. Just get used to it, it's been almost 6 years

You cannot add content and changes without maintenance WHICH HAPPENS AT RESET. Have patience and wait for whatever reason the update caused you an extremely MILD inconvenience. Wtf is this post lmao.

It was for like 10 minutes guy, relax

Bungie admitted to needing 8 hours to reboot a system fully, waaaaay back when. They never updated their own system so that's why they wait to do it during a reset. Since they're rebooting for an upgrade wait until they gotta "flip a switch" anyways. To me its -blam!- that bungo needs 8 hours to boot up a computer. (Yes I know it's not like a home pc)

The maintenances happens on the back end. Nothing should be preventing you from logging in at refresh

Games generally release on Tuesday, the same for but updates it’s just how it works for most game companies. They can’t release it on a Monday for example because it would then be out ‘early ‘ it shouldn’t be our before the weekly reset for that week . You gotta remember about time zones etc too

I couldn't agree more.

They've been doing this for a while, so I'm kinda getting used to it. That's why I try to complete as much as I can on the last day before the update. So do keep that in mind in the future.
