Sooooooo the answer is yes you are catering to the streamers and don’t give a ~blam~ about the rest of the community. You want us to spend a minimum of almost 12 USDA to get a shader and emblem. Thanks for letting us all know who you really care about Bungie. “Grandmaster Nightfall, watch your favorite streamers stream this cause the general community wont be able to do it”
“Gift 2 subs to the streamers and we will give you a shader and emblem for it, total value is around $12”
Meanwhile the game is just getting slower and slower, load times are stupid and we have little improvements to the game.
So again. Thanks Bungie for clearing this up. We have no doubt now.

1 Replywhy TF would you pay for that ugly emblem anyway? anyone I see with it I know just wasted 10 bucks
-
1 ReplyLiterally any streamer who has the extension can be used. It doesn’t have to be Gladd or someone like that. I gifted two to my friend who streams for three viewers. That’s it. Three viewers but he does it anyway because he likes it. It’s not for a job, it’s for fun. If you can support a friend by giving them a few bucks, and get some stuff in return...why not?
-
1 ReplyI hope all the money goes to the streamers and Bungo doesn’t see any of it. I wouldn’t pay to watch someone else play a game, but I know there are a lot of stupid people out there.
-
2 RepliesOh no!! Being nice is so hard!! D:
-
I don’t give a dime to chuckleheads that play a video game. Let alone gifting subs. I find that kinda hilarious.
-
1 ReplyThen don’t gift the subs wtf? This is not a problem
-
1 ReplyJesus Christ shut the -blam!- up.
-
1 ReplyThis is no different from them putting a bundle in Eververse containing the two items. Paid cosmetics are nothing new for Destiny. But streamer man bad right?

3 RepliesBungie really want to keep their free advertising brigade don’t they.... with player numbers dropping and general bad reviews of their seasons model it’s their last ditch effort to drum up business support for the coming over priced dlc. Every time I see someone with a shiny new emote or emblem... I just think IDIOT... they are supporting the problem.

1 ReplyImagine watching Twitch in the first place
-
2 RepliesOne thing....... YOU DONT NEED THEM, THEY ARE COSMETIC!!!!!!! For crying out loud. Plus they were never in the game to start with.
-
do you need the shader and emblem that desperately? this is nothing new.
-
I feel like it could have worked better as a twitch drop or something, like how Warframe has done similar stuff before. As a reward for watching streamers, maybe even tier it by hours and add mats or something.
-
1 ReplyI absolutely adore how the Pro-Bungie apologists have gone from "Bungie don't do that sort of thing", to "There is nothing wrong with Bungie doing it"... Oh and my personal favourite... "It's optional"... as if that somehow absolves Bungie from having any responsibility for their own actions...

2 RepliesYou also get emblems for purchasing stuff from Bungie store or donating money to causes. If you don't want to do it, don't do it. It's only cosmetics.
-
1 Replydon't you get trial tokens also and masterwork cores
-
3 RepliesThe people defending this aee hilarious. At best, it's a bad look. There's always been the feelings that Bungie caters to streamers. They say something, Bungie jumps and makes bad changes. Then came Corridors of Time. That was viewed as a cash grab for streamers. Then there was the Grandmaster NFs. Bungie stated pretty plainly they wanted to make "watchable" content. Now, this BS that's blatantly a streamer cash grab. Bungie only cares for streamers and couldn't give a damn less about the average player

Edited by Cudd1eZombi3: 7/6/2020 5:31:19 AMBungie are a corporate greed monster and this is just the latest "innovation" designed to encourage the player base to not actually play the game but throw money at it. $12 for a shader? I mean what the heck! That's just beyond stupid and ridiculous. Theres already a store which gets less and less bright dust friendly by the season. Anyone else noticed how exotic emotes are now 3,250 bright dust, yet a legendary is still 700? Just another way to make players go "well I don't have/dont want to farm that much bright dust, wheres my wallet". Bungie could have easily done an in-game event for the shader and emblem. They could have encouraged the community to get together in a positive way, but no, it's less effort to just get the gullible player base to throw money at streamers, ones they may not even regular watch, so that said streamers continue to actually play and endorse the game. Smh.

6 RepliesWhats the difference between spend 12$ in the Bungie store vs some just trying to make a living?
-
6 RepliesMy new favorite shader, best purple one so far imo

Imagine the brain storming session that produced this. This, this is where their head is at? Someone needs to remove their head from their 4th point of contact and focus on the game instead of catering to “content creators”.

1 ReplyEdited by Hautsauce: 7/5/2020 9:06:19 PMI’m sure some Bungie employee/enforcer is standing behind all these people with a gun to their head and making them do it. If you don’t agree with it, or don’t like the idea, don’t participate. period. FFS, what do people expect from a video game studio. They don’t owe you sh!t.

Decided to spend some time watching streamer - completed the Trials -reaction bounty and got bunch of tokens. Just to realize I can't even turn them in without getting 3 wins in Trials of Osiris. Ah yes, thanks Bungo - easy 12k exp, at least, I guess. Not doing that again.
-
2 RepliesJust don't do it, if you don't want to. Why do you have to be snotty about it?
-
8 RepliesAnyone with either is getting a thorough bagging. Die in a non immediately necessary revive spot? You get to stay there. I'm not supporting this madness. Do I look like an ass? Sure. Do I care? Nope.
