If they really plan on removing Tribute Hall then it just goes to show how much of a joke this game is and how bad they are at decision making. Tribute hall will always be relevant and is very useful and a cool idea.
-
And back when dust had even more real world value too as an eververse exclusive currency. At ~300 dust per real world dollar now, I can only imagine how much some people paid for tribute hall access for less than a year.
-
1 ReplySpend brightdust on glows for Solstice armor -> Armor is useless immediately after event ends.
-
This is a good point as bright dust is the only currency comparable to real money
-
9 RepliesBright Dust is fake currency in a video game. I bet you still log onto The Legend of Zelda to check your Rupee balance.
-
14 RepliesWhy complain if you barely play the game as is and act like your opinion matters when in actuality it carries no weight because you don’t play the game. Dawg nobody wants you to keep playing go back to fortnite or CoD
-
I don't care the dust. I'll miss to fill up my Ammo before doing f.e. a Master NH or Ordeal.
-
Also if you think about it....you paid real money for the content and they are taking it away. Plus if you take a break from the game and come back, you have all this new stuff to play but only for a short time before it disappears.
-
Literally the only way to test weapons. If they strip this I'll be ticked harder than a tick on a dog's ayss
-
i really don't care a bout the bright dust, what i'll miss is the fact that it loads faster than the tower, you have a firing range to test new builds, damage output or just in my case have my little bro do nonsense to have fun shooting aliens while i make dinner or lunch, and the fact that has the deposit is godlike, still use DIM, but since last year in opulance i only use it when i have a weapon in another character In my opinion at this point just put the npcs there you'll have kinda a solo space better than the tower that loads faster, in the tower what you do is: get bounties, spam some emotes and off to go the grind again. When the tower gets some kind of npc or LFG system there then i'll consider it a social space. To spam emotes and jump around like an ape i'll go to the crucible.

13 RepliesSo what, it's free currency.

2 RepliesBungie need to change the bright dust economy. one we need to be earning more by playing strikes, PvP and not via bounties. but again its greed and why Bungo are in the same company of EA bethesda and Activision. the game needs more content so put more items from eververse back in to the content. look at MHW great game loads of content and making more money than Destiny for capcom

23 RepliesFirst of all, the whole concept of removing content for the game is complete crap. They're making a CHOICE to compromise the continuity of the game to keep the file size small that isn't necessary... probably MOSTLY to make it more convenient to entice F2P players to download the game at around 100GB instead of 150-200GB (or whatever). Second, even though "durrrrr the Leviathan is leaving" (I get that the tribute hall is part of it) it's a little area that is probably of relatively small file size that people worked to unlock and enjoy having access to. From a quality of life and not-pissing-off-your-playerbase standpoint, there is no real reason for it to be removed. It should absolutely be left in however they have to explain it game-wise. And honestly, they bend over backward and make so many ridiculous excuses while totally derailing the story to justify re-using existing assets, keeping the tribute hall would be nothing in comparison.
-
I just don’t want them to take it out. Tribute Hall is cool. Specifically being able to test out new builds. Plus it’s satisfying,
-
Edited by Corrick II: 7/4/2020 4:41:22 AMAnd that’s why I stick to my casual little corner blowing off steam and trying not to put any more effort into this grind-fest than I have to because the developers absolutely do not respect our time in this game.

12 RepliesYou have an extremely immature way of looking at this. The bright dust you spent in the tribute hall did 3 things, it placed pretty statues, gave you the triumphs, and helped you get the catalyst. GUESS WHAT, the only thing you lost out of those 3 is the pretty statues. Y'all are just digging for shit to complain about, like come on dude you literally posted this twice.
-
6 RepliesThey should refund our Bright Dust. Some of use put over 30k into the Tribute Hall at launch.
-
3 RepliesMy guess is that the Tribute hall was developed to suck up all that dust, so people have less to spend on Everworse making them buy more Silver for all that shiny useless stuff. The whole game is constructed around Everworse since day one of D2.
-
You have to spend 2k bright dust if you did the discount. Oh no, 2k bright dust gone after over a year. How will we recover?
-
Edited by GRAVEL: 7/4/2020 4:46:29 PMOh, Please! It's all a lie. Especially with new hardware right on the horizon. Like all things new Bungie-- a complete and utter joke. Most players who care about destiny, play destiny! You may need diversionary games from time to time but especially looking forward... No one is taxing anything. This is Bungie being bungie.

1 ReplyWill never believe that wasnt 100% intentional leading into Shadowkeep. Armor 2.0 starts right after everyone is forced (encouraged) to dump materials to get a weapon and catalyst.
-
20 RepliesI remember Chris Barrett actually improving things when it comes to the bright dust, then the WoW guy took over and things have been a mess from that day on. Remember guys, this is the logic we are dealing with when it comes to the director.
Destiny is like a card game...
Now I don't know how that logic plays in Destiny, but somehow it gave the director all his brilliant ideas for the game 🤷♂️

1 ReplySpent resources for the catalyst. Got the catalyst right?
-
Arguably the whole thing was an investment, made to get the bad juju catalyst
