Can we talk about the fact that destiny 2 is no longer being sold to people. They are now renting the game to you for the price of a full game or expansion for a time that they have yet to determine. I understand the removal of some content to make the game more manageable, such as strikes, raids, or the public event space. The removal of the entire main story campaign and all locations associated with it, however, just makes me feel violated as a customer. I paid probably over $100 to own destiny 2, but now they're telling me that all that content was simply a rental til they felt like pulling it away. I will no longer have access to any of the main story of a game that I paid for. The removal of previous end game content to maintain a focus on current end game content from a development sense but to remove the actual core foundation of an entire game is wrong. They are spitting in the face of people previously, and currently buying content for the game. Why would I ever buy and expansion again if I will only be able to play it until bungie gets tired of dealing with it. Why would i buy an expansion if it's nothing more than a rental. To all new players to this game, I'm sorry but your guardian will never have been in the red war, you'll never have saved osiris, and you'll never have really learned who or what the warmind is. Have fun doing what everyone complained about in d1 and watching youtube videos and reading lore cards to try to figure out why your guardian is talked to like you saved the world, or who all these people are and why they keep thanking you for actions you never took, until some week long event where you get to play parts of it in who knows what order based on how they feel like releasing it temporarily.
