Banned an no appeal for joining a hackers fireteam.

So i got banned for joining this dudes fireteam in iron banner. I told bungie that in my appeal and they told me they wont lift it... I mean i understand a soft ban for something like that, i thought he was some sweaty tryhard, i didn't know what he was doing at the time until i followed him and saw that was locking on to people through walls. Bungie not revealing anything about why they banned you or how long it is for doesnt make sense, so i looked up and after half an hour of forum browsing im just assuming its permanent at this point. I just bought the season pass too so, what, rip $10 i guess? I want bungie to look into this further or something because the ban isnt legitimate. I've been playing destiny since xbox 360, just to lose everything to something that wasnt my fault? Fix this! • I agree this is stupid I lfg guys for iron banner and trials all the time why should it be the players responsibility to figure out who is hacking and who is not not to mention all the money people invest into there game maybe a soft ban I'd get but not fully because again isn't it there job to find the hackers not the players I don't collect a paycheck from them . And on a side note if that's the case then there shouldn't be a leaving match penalty in certain modes if we're expected to just quit if we're with a hacker and figure it out but how are we to know there not just a good player are we suppose to stop playing the match and just watch the player and try to figure it out or anytime someone is good just quit ?

    • Intentionally or not you benefited from their illegal actions. Ignorance doesn't exempt you from them. Your account is done. If you pray hard enough maybe just maybe the person that runs the BNGSecurity account will care enough to give you an extremely vague reason as to why a punishment was issued. The chances of that happening are slim to none. Here's some examples of the other 380+ people who "did nothing wrong" that the BNGSecurity account replied to. https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/BungieActivity/254/21102603/BNGSecurity [EDIT] Recently they have added a form to appeal a BAN or RESTRICTION. (SUSPENSIONS are not included.) https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 But know that the chances of it actually getting reversed are MINISCULE. They have absolutely no obligations to reply to this post or your appeal form. If you submit an appeal and don't get a response in 5 days time then consider the BAN upheld. I suggest you start over or move on.

        • I’m guessing u used an LFG or knew the guy cause they wouldn’t ban u if u were just randomly matched with the cheater through normal matchmaking

          • It's in their rules they can and will ban you if you benefited from the cheaters actions
