Gosh darn it, I have to point something out. Skill is not the same as poor strategy. There is something to be said about stupidity and not thinking as a player, regardless of skill level. Control has ALWAYS been about taking and HOLDING points. This also means manipulating map spawns to hold those points. There is no reason people of lower skill CAN'T strategize, but honestly, that is why they are lower skill. They don't think. They just shoot and don't stratgize what points to take and hold. I have won IB games where my team has pretty average to bad KDA, and the other team is really good, especially the top player. Why did we win? Because we played strategically. Not stupidly. Everyone 1 kill we had counted as 2 points since we always maintained 2 flags. This WILL win you games. This isn't Clash. Your 10 kills literally get overriden by an enemy with 5 kills if they hold 2 flags and your team only holds 1. You are putting in double the effort for half the reward. This is actually why poor reflexed skilled players stand more of a chance to win in Control, but only if they play smart and play the objective. It is because their one kill can override the two times they might have died to the enemy. In the same time span. This is why some teams ANNILHAITE others regardless of being in a party or not. If all players on 1 team know how to actually PLAY control, they will destroy. You take two flags and hold them like your life depended on it. If spawns switch, you adjust accordingly. You always, always want two flags and you have to understand what actions to take to get them/hold then at any given time. Control requires less skill and more thinking on behalf of the player. People don'y think. It has nothing to do with MM. This has always been a thing. It is just more evident with MM because thr pool has opened up to allow a lot more strategic players to play with a lot of narrow minded players who don't think about how to actually win and contribute effectively.
