Weasel Error Code Every 2 Hours Regularly

Ever since the launch of Season of Arrivals, I have been getting weasel coded every 2 hours exactly. I have tried for hours to fix this problem. I have factory reset my modem, cleared the cache of my router, uninstalled and reinstalled destiny 2, port forwarded all necessary ports, made sure my firewall was not blocking connection, changed Ethernet cords and coaxial cables, and even tried on wifi. I still get error-ed every 2 hours. This is odd because I do not have this problem at my other house with my other pc, just on one of them. This confuses me if its something on my end or bungie's end. Any ideas how to fix this?

  • If anyone else stumbles upon this thread looking for a fix for the 2 hour Weasel issue, it's your router. If you have the Netgear Nighthawk R7000P, a lot of people have this router and have the same issue. Go into your router settings and enable Dynamic QoS to fix it. Or just go buy a different router.

  • I've been having this issue aswell, though the timing of the weasel error varies wildly. The thing about it on my end is that it has been doing this ever since my family acquired the Starlink Satellite Internet Service. idk why this is but it practically makes it a CHORE to even play this game, perhaps it has something to due with the satellites themselfs but it's a total nuisance how this error has gotten to damn stingy over just a new internet service being used :/

  • Any of you guys figure this out? Going crazy because of this error, every 2 hours for me as well. Strangely it’s only started for me since I moved to Virgin Media (UK), I was with Sky previously and never had this issue but I only get this type of issue with Destiny on both PC and Xbox, I’ve stuck with the Xbox for testing purposes. I’ve set the router to modem mode and I have a new router (Netgear Nighthawk), I’ve set a static IP for the console and even tried port forwarding, all this is on a wired connection. No luck with any of it, 2 hours and bang... weasel error. It has to be the game surely. Ran out of ideas now. 😔

    • The exact same thing is happening to me. Every 2 hours, I get a weasel error. I did not have this consistent error before Season of Arrivals. I've gotten a new router since the last season, but same brand and the settings are the same; I also tried a factory reset, to no avail. I've cleared the cache on my Xbox One, I've hard-restarted it, uninstalled and reinstalled Destiny 2, nothing. Weasel every 2 hours. My network monitoring software shows I have a great connection, I'm not choking my bandwidth and I have speeds of 400+ Mbps in my home. I have UPNP activated on my router and open NAT. When I get kicked I'll check my Xbox One settings and I have great connection and open NAT, on IPv4 and no issues. I hope someone can tell me how to resolve this or, at least, confirm it's totally between my ISP and Xbox/Bungie and not much I can do. :-)
