Routinely on these forums, players who post problems with the game are ridiculed and bullied. This much is obvious. What might not be so obvious is the support for this abuse behind the scenes by Bungie & their selected forum moderators & ninjas.
Given the recent events with BLM & #MeToo with Bungie's partnered streamers, I decided it was a good time to share my story. I detailed an incident where I posted a bug to #help with video evidence. I cannot remember what specifically it was out of the hundreds of bugs I've come across, as this was back in 2018, but it ended up with a bunch of regulars harassing me. Not being a coward, I gave it back to them while reporting their comments. About an hour later, a ninja came to the thread to ban me for defending myself. Alright, that's fine. However, I return to the thread to find I'm the only one banned and even more revolting, the ninja has joined in with the regulars to continue harassing me knowing I can no longer defend myself in the thread. None of the replies or comments addressed the actual bug but rather were solely intended to harass me.
This was 2018 and since then, I have received the maximum ban (1 month) pretty much every time I return. No ninja or moderator can pinpoint my transgressions other than "you were reported and a mod took action". Nobody can tell me which ninja(s) is issuing the bans. They have even resorted to not replying to messages at all when I seek assistance. I am clearly being singled out and targeted, while much more severe infraction by regulars routinely receive minimal punishment or nothing at all. One of the regulars participating in the harassment was even rewarded with a mentor tag.
Last week, I came out about the abuse I've endured the past two years and was immediately banned for "hate speech/disrespect".
I have taken this issue to Bungie staff, however they have turtled and clearly have no plans to do anything about it because it involves their own.
So, this is my story, and I'm sure several others of you have been victim to the same. I'm sure Spawn or some other ninjas or Bungie staff will ban me for coming out about this, I just hope even a couple people get to read it and realize the torture-house they want this place to be.
Cheers guardians.

2 RepliesThanks for reporting this to us. I don't see any bans appearing on your account before April 2019, and I don't see a ban on your account from last week, either. As for reporting Ninjas and mentors, please send me, dmg, Duardo, or Cozmo a private message directly with links and/or statements to show abuse taking place, including the one that happened in 2018. Thank you.

4 RepliesEdited by Arizath: 7/2/2020 8:19:17 AMI was on this forum for years and I've seen a million users treating other peoples like trashcans and crying about getting banned at the end. I've seen way more people from that sort then people that actually are "innocent".
This was 2018 and since then, I have received the maximum ban (1 month) pretty much every time I return.
What kind of posts do you do anyways? I'm here for 9 years and never got banned. I highly doubt that it's the fault of the mods.

1 ReplyBungie's communications team at it again - talking the talk but not walking the walk. #BungieAreHypocrites

1 ReplyWould you look at that? Not 48 hours and I'm punished over a profile status that was there for at least a year. They don't even try to hide it.

2 RepliesIf you said this on any other forum, I would've called bullshit, but since it's Bungie I can't honestly say that they wouldn't do that. Good luck to you on getting this issue fixed!

As expected, buried with downvotes. Given that Bungie is still stuck in the year 2000, maybe by 2040 they'll clean house like the rest of the world is doing in 2020.
