Realistically the system is very likely already completed and almost ready to ship, changing it now would cause a significant delay. They'll probably give it a go and push it through then take community feedback later once we actually have tried the system.

That's a possibility. That's why I'm out. Becoming a Destiny Pariah next season and will watch this happen on the sideline. I quit the game 2 weeks ago. Paid in full for this season. If that's true it's probably the first time in the history of gaming (and maybe sw development) that major content was anywhere close to ready to ship 3 months ahead of deployment. They've probably been working on it for 9 months and they'll probably BE working on it 10 minutes before the cutoff time to submit it for certification. Then they'll start working on the day one patch.
