If you lied or were wrong then at least admit it and move forward but don't act like you are presenting something better when you just aren't.

Edited by TrevorRambo2: 7/1/2020 6:22:29 PMPeople need to boycott it as they did with seraph tower completions or nothing is gonna change lol, they won't care about these posts as it has been clearly proven that they don't ever since they announced it.

If sunsetting meant temporary “retirements” on guns, and didn’t render previous versions irrelevant, I’d be fine with it. But this, “Gnawing Hunger and Outrageous Fortune with the Arrivals Sticker count, but older ones, with the exact same rolls don’t” is absurd. I think saying “these guns work this season, these this season, and all incarnations count” is better. At least it doesn’t render all your older, sweated out gear completely obsolete and useless. Phase shift meta, while allowing hard fought gear to still always matter.

You realize when Luke realized he could squeeze more money from Stranger he said "whoever said we were done with her was wrong" and I just sat there going "that was you".
-
Good one. Sunsetting is a total scam. Bungie has purposely avoided using the word in any communication with the community in what the last 4-5 TWaBs? Sunsetting is simply “the lie that is”
-
They don’t respect players’ time. They only pretend to. Their goal is always to maximize profits with minimum effort, morals & ethics be damned. It’s all about the money %100
-
No respect at all
-
LMAO!! Bungie has been lying to the community all along, especially just before a new season pass Or dlc is up for sale!!!!
-
Indeed, luke should go back to writing game reviews and replace him with someone else or become a politician as they never keep there word.
-
There are a couple of things that have been very consistent about Destiny 2 since it first launched. 1. Great music 2. Bungie hates players having choices 3. This game does not respect your time

Edited by xbroggiex: 6/30/2020 10:41:15 PMThey want you to build a "monster killing machine" but then take away the tools every interval and prevent you from doing that. It's the most goddamn -blam!- shit I've ever heard Bungie say and do. How do I progress my character in a permanent and meaningful way? Hint... there isn't a way. Gear at the moment was sort of the only proper form of player progression we have had with our gear effectively being how we fight the enemy. While any other MMO has weapons pretty much be stat sticks to improve your abilities you get from your skill tree or other areas and Destiny doesn't have a skill tree and the gear is not a stat stick when you literally have to use that item to kill an enemy. This will be 'progression' in the future of D2. * Grind for 'new' weapons or reprised weapons. * Grind for perfect stat roll armour for the year. * Grind for materials to upgrade weapons and armour from activities you have done a million times. * Grind for transmog for old armour you already earned probably doing activities you have done a million times. * Grind for mods from the artifact with xp then grind for seasonal mods from the seasons. * Grind xp for season pass track. * Repeat. Artifact mods and power bonuses reset every season but other than that you would be doing that every single year give or take for some stuff. None of that is permanent and there isn't a single piece of permanent progression I can see in Destiny 2 once sunsetting goes in. No Factions to rank up. No Vendors to rank up for unique rewards. There isn't even any permanent side progression the season stuff gets removed like Bunkers or w/e even though they kinda sucked, there is no permanent progression that makes you feel like you actually got anything that you can keep to the end. Exotics are the only thing that aren't sunsetted and I don't think that's far down Bungie's list of impending -blam!- ups. Bungie keeps changing their vision every goddamn 2 milliseconds that is just slowly making the game crumble into garbage.

See you all in-game tonight!
-
They respect your time by forcing constant gear resets ever since they said that ...
-
"I was wrong." Luke Smith
-
They own the ip and create the content for the game . They have every right to do this
-
I think it's funny that people keep referencing a quote from 5 years ago saying it's hypocritical to change direction. The game has grown and evolved over time, of course there will be changes. Have your views changed in the past 5 years? Sunsetting is not disrespecting your time, if you think it is, you need to re-evaluate how much you are respecting your own time by playing video games in general.
-
Respect player's time? its a video game. you play it to waste time. this argument is so old and pointless. no one is forcing you to play, let alone re-acquire gear. none of your gear is going to magically disappear. you can still equip it. if you're going to continue to cry about sunsetting, at least come up with a new reason why is so bad.
-
deal with it
-
I WANT TO USE THE SAME GUN FOR 5 YEARS
-
They obviously reissued their statement from the past :’D.
-
Technically, one could say that this promise regarded D1.
-
What game are u playing? They have never respected our time nor our $$

If friends will ask me: "Describe the game called Destiny?" Me: "It feels like Tom Cruise is behind the steering wheel when they made this game. The enemies feels like you're fighting a Mimic horde and we've killed an Alpha Mimic 6 years ago. Now we are resetting the week over and over trying to do the same stuff over and over while expecting a different result. Game could have been called - "Destiny at the Edge of Tomorrow!" Friends: "So why do they call it Destiny? . . ." Me: "I don't know . . . . . . because it doesn't have one?"
-
So far the weapons they reissued are exactly like the ones we already have, same perk pool, same stats, just a different tag icon. There’s no difference yet I gotta regrind for potentially months just to get what I already have, all because of some expiration date on my gear? This is the exact opposite of respecting the players time.
-
They did respect players time during vanilla. The game didn’t feel like a chore at that point. You could play collect the same loot as everyone else and move on. Now you have to play every day and try to get the best loot to beat everyone else at a horrible game. If you don’t play every day you lose out on everything. The game has gone down hill and it is dying every day because of it.
-
Stop playing the game and spending money on it then. Thats how things get done. D2 yr1......
