I quit.... SBMM Made the Crucible Fun, Now it’s Not
I just deleted Destiny from my PS4. I haven’t played in 2 weeks because every time I’d drop into the crucible I’d get destroyed by players dozens of skill levels higher than me. It’s not fun. I tried again today, and same thing. Destroyed by players 60 levels higher than me!! We shouldn’t be playing together at all! My favorite part of the game was the crucible, the rest of the missions are monotonous rinse and repeat activities (especially the seasonal activities which are always full and boring after the first week of a new season). So with the crucible gone to me because of poorly matched play levels, then there’s no need to play anymore. I just wish I hadn’t wasted money paying for a new season that I won’t play.
I’ll consider coming back if you go back to SBMM and give free extensions to everyone who hates this season because you effed it up by getting rid of SBMM. Otherwise, don’t expect me back.

10 RepliesSo...back when it was SBMM you felt good. But when given competition through CBMM...instead of learning from your loses and trying to improve, you choose to run away and play something else. Cool. I guess.

Aawww not protected by mommy Bungie anymore? It’s much better without SBMM. This game isn’t competitive. There’s no need for SBMM in a casual pvp game like D2. Especially when they’re still fooling around with Peer 2 Peer networking.

Good riddance, casual modes should have casual mm, you have likely already been replaced by several others thanks to cbmm increasing our numbers again

Sbmm holds up que times and causes each match at the end of the spectrum those who are really good and those who need improvement with laggy matches where on the high skill end everyone is sweating it out like the game has money on the line. Cbmm allows for less lag and faster que times if you want sbmm so bad go play survival or elimination Edit it also cant hurt trying to get better truevangaurd, mtashed, and cool guy all have fantastic videos that helped me become an unbroken 1.5kd average player in crucible from just an average 1.0kd average player.

2 RepliesHave you tried improving? I know that sounds rude but crucible is really not all that hard. Im having some games where I destroy people with me getting 40+ kills while the guy in second has 15 kills and other games where I barely rack up 25 kills. Its not a big deal, just play the game and just focus on you. I personally enjoy both easy and challenging matches, having either one 24/7 is boring. If my games are easy 24/7 then I get bored easily and if its sweaty all the time then I get burned out easily. I like where it is now, best of both worlds and I can actually play with lower skilled friends because Back when we still had sbmm, anyone that would play with me would get demolished harder than anything they had ever seen. It was brutal to try and play with lower skilled players, at least now those guys have a fighting chance

May 5th you lost 68 to 151 in "sbmm" control. None of your opponents (0.3 higher kds) had similar stats as you meaning you were forced to lose. Their hasn't been sbmm since Curse of Osiris when litterrally no one played. Just forced wins and loses.

53 RepliesSo, the bad news is that you were probably in a very low sbmm bracket, and you learned a lot of bad habits against beginners or mediocre players. The good news is that it’s not hard to be an average player in D2. That said, you do need to take a look at your game and make some improvements. Stay near your team, watch your map, team shoot, disengage if you know you will not win. Die less. Stay near cover. Cbmm will reward you with improved stats if you improve your game, which is why even though I’m no pvp god, I like it much better than sbmm.

Light level doesn't matter in quickplay. Personally I think it's more fun without SBMM. You can use whatever you want and still be competitive.

Power level does not matter in regular pvp so i don’t understand your argument of getting destroyed by people 60 levels higher than you. Pvp in general is better now, SBMM made it a constant lag fest for a lot of us, i’m glad it’s gone.

You could have played the modes that still have SBMM to protect you. Also you could have tried to get better?

If your gunplay is as weak as your blog then I see how you were beaten like a red-headed step child. How can you expect to not play for weeks, then come back and do better? Incredible...
