The only solution to gear staying at max power forever is gear not staying at max power forever. There is no in-between. This is also not the first time we have had to leave behind in destiny nor any game in general. In destiny 1 people had to leave behind multiple times. In destiny 2 year one because it was the second game. then armor 2.0 and then now weapons being sunset which is not a new concept and similar things have happened before in games in general. If gear stayed at max power forever then the complaint would be "I'm bored there is nothing new to grind for" or "I have nothing to do" etc. I'm not saying the system is perfect all I'm implying is people are pitching a fit about not wanting to regrind gear yet we have been doing this for literal years. On top of that complaining about it for years when really it comes off as a empty threat they said person going to "quit" the game. It always comes across as an empty threat and no one actually quits. most of the people who actually quit are most likely not on the forums and have moved on period.
