Played Control for the first time in about two weeks but normally play more than once per week and thought I had completely lost the little skill I had. Questioning myself and going slightly crazy I didn't realise that SBMM has been removed. It is awful. I won't be playing any other PVP mode other than Solo Survival because it still contains SBMM. Did the sweats cry too much because they couldn't take their own medicine? Won't go near IB either. -blam!- you Bungie.

Secondly, Control is 6v6 while survival is 3v3; in the former, generally you may do better since there are more opponents for you to kill and your enemies are more likely to be distracted by your 5 other teammates. 3rd, SBMM doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, which is giving you a 50% win rate (or close to that); for example, due to bad team distribution/allocation and poor algorithm, I lost 15 matches in a row in survival the other day last season just to win 1 game. My matches consisted of teammates who went AFK, left early, threw the match, or that were simply bad at the game. Therefore, I’d watch for confirmation bias by just looking at a few favorable stats.

So, I had no time to play as usual and lost all my god rolls. Think before you speak.
So taking into account the games belonging to those weeks would be pointless.
Secondly, Control is 6v6 while survival is 3v3; in the former, generally you may do better since there are more opponents for you to kill and your enemies are more likely to be distracted by your 5 other teammates.
More enemies = higher chance to kill but also higher chance to die.
