In the end game, the only thing that keeps you coming back to grind for permanent power gain is pinnacles. Out of 37...37 pinnacles this week (3 pinnacles per character, 3 characters per account, 3 fireteam members) for my entire fireteam, ALL of the pinnacles were identical copies of items we already had at the SAME power level. For example with 1052s or 1053s in only the helmet slot, primary slot, and secondary slot, we REPEATEDLY received primary, secondary, and helmets of the EXACT same power level or LOWER. BUNGIE, what sense is there for us to grind pinnacles when you make the RNG so terrible? Even if we got a perfect result every time: at one light level per armor/weapon piece it would take us ALL SEASON to get the 10 light levels. The current system is SO bad that both members of my standard fireteam have caught up over 10 light levels to my level and with rng in their favor, are now only a single light level behind me.....most pinnacles are out of the reach of most players because they don’t have the time, resources, or friends to get them all. The thing slowing them down should be the number of pinnacles they can get a week, not this CRAPPY rng. I don’t think I’d care if playing destiny for 4-5 hours a day would mean I could reach the power cap by the end of the season, but I have gone up ONE light level in 2 weeks. THAT is ridiculous. My fireteam asked that I get on and let you know: we think this is crappy, and the RNG is terrible....HOURS wasted so that I can get the exact item at the exact light level I already have. It’s terribly obvious that you have this skewed when we have only 3 items at a higher light level and all pinnacle drops were in the exact same category. This is NOT rewarding and destroys any fun that could have been had when the difficulty on these activities is SO high in the first place. Leave it hard, leave them scarce, but give us the reward we are due after putting in the time and effort. This is the SECOND time I have mentioned this in 2 SEASONS!!! UPDATE 1: forgot to open a clan pinnacle, it was a 1052 legs when I have a 1053 legs ON MY CHARACTER and I’m a 1051 armor (clan pinnacle typically drops more than 1 light level)! Never fails, this the most unrewarding system. UPDATE 2: 7/10/20, I only had one weapon and a titan mark at 1057, got my strike pinnacle, it was a duplicate mark. I had literally just gotten a 1057 mark from my weekly story mission.... UPDATE 3: 7/26/20, AVOID Gambit and crucible! I just ran gambit and crucible pinnacles across all 3 characters, all got duplicate light and items I already had. NONE of them moved my character higher. Two of them even were lower then items I already had. A waste of HOURS! UPDATE 4: this has 174 likes as of 7/10 @ 3:00pm, keep the comments coming we have to shout louder than the youtubers and influencers so Bungie can hear us!
