No. Think of it as an alternative mod set that you can choose to use. This set was one of the first sets that came out with Shadowkeep and was introducing players to the mod (armor 2.0) system. There are a number of different builds you can run for Master difficulty content.

Edited by twirlypen: 6/27/2020 1:31:22 AMDreambane absolutely helps at lower levels. It's 25% more total damage to nightmares if you run 5 of them. Of course, every point you get yourself closer to 1080 will also help noticeably. Edit for clarity: the actual dreambane armor doesn't help, just the dreambane mod - which can go on other sets of armor besides dreambane.

Nightmare mods make it easier, but they aren't required by any means. If you have Opulent, Shadowkeep, Undying, or Dawn armor you should definitely use them.

Edited by Ra1nHawk: 6/27/2020 12:57:30 AMYou need to stack dreambane mods it makes you alot harder to kill. But not all armour will slot that mod. I run with an overload and a shield break mod on my weapons also. Then i switch back to the mods i always use when its cleared. I do this on normal nightmares but im not sure about master
