Makes crucible even more unplayable then it was and less fun 😂. Nothing better then having 1 team all well and truely positive with their KD at the end of the match steamrolling the enemy team. Absolutely fantastic. Glad you’re listening to your players and giving us exactly what we want 👌

44 RepliesEdited by CookieNiki: 6/26/2020 7:43:54 PMWell, CBMM is the paradise for a particular kind of PvP'ers that say they're very good at it, but when SBMM is implemented they soon discover that they're not that good after all. They are best known as stompers aka "the whiny babies of PvP." I bet you've already heard of them. Their survival is ego dependent so they need to play only against low skilled players to maintain it at healthy levels or they'll start raging and whining like there's no tomorrow. They also have a particular expression to everyone that criticizes PvP: "git gud" ( yes, their vocabulary is limited). That's why, from time to time, Bungie has to remove SBMM. You see, basically it's an humanitarian move to preserve the sanity of the "git gud" people (and the ones that have to read the hundreds of whiny posts they create). My advice? Just stop playing PvP and soon enough SBMM will return. It's what always happens. Stay cool, guardian.

8 RepliesYou know what's really funny, their defense to keep PVP. They always complain about how hard it was having to play against people that sweated and that they couldn't relax. So they needed to get rid of SBMM. I know they had to wait to get a game, cry me a river. Or they say you can't learn anything unless you play more challenging players. I suppose we should get rid of college and high school football then. Let's just put them all in the NFL. They will "git gud" if they just play.

We need a choice SBMM or CBMM let the players chose.

2 RepliesMarketing strategy. The top skill players and pvp only player were annoyed that they had to try in control matches. Stats are important for reasons I don’t understand, so it turned them all into meta slaves and the meta sucked. Not addressing this would drive money away because the top skill group would likely not buy beyond light. The bottom skill players aren’t buying expansions because of how fun the crucible is. This seemed like an olive branch where they’re allowed to stomp out the guardian equivalent of thralls with minimal effort. Like it or not, it made sense. Eventually the low end players will stop playing crucible matches, quit more matches, or afk for completions. When it gets too bad, welcome back sbmm. Could be a while tho.

5 RepliesMade it unplayable and miserable for most of the player base.

3 RepliesTotally agree. I was really enjoying crucible before this last update. It was pretty balanced with a lot of close games. Now it is back to solos vs. stacked teams and top player getting 40 kills and bottom player getting 3. But hey, the streamers gotta look good.

4 RepliesI’ve been playing 6’s daily, and it does seem sweatier overall than in previous seasons. Yesterday was a horror show, I couldn’t believe how mismatched teams were. Example was a match on Firebase Echo I played yesterday, a super sweaty 6-stack against my team of 4 randoms. We never had a full team, and the teammates I did have were useless, and I literally couldn’t get out of spawn. Miraculously, I wound up getting 6 kills vs 8 deaths. I had three teammates who’s combined K/D for the match was 1 for 36. Seriously. I really don’t know much about the pros and cons of CBMM vs SBMM, but one thing I do wish for is that they had playlists for weaker, less-experienced players such as for all my 0-12 teammates. PVP has to be an absolutely painful experience for a lot of people that go into it. Ultimately, there’s absolutely no logic in matching a 6-stack of guys, several of which that have top 500 ELOs in multiple playlists, with a bunch of newbs. Neither CBMM nor SBMM addresses the issue effectively. I personally prefer CBMM, because in most matches I can at least hold my own regardless of the opposition, but too much of a skill disparity between teams just makes the whole activity of PVP a non-starter for a lot of the player base.

4 RepliesCBMM is a joke! What I've seen, as a 'normal' level player, is that at the end of the game you'll get 1 or 2 players with 30 or 40+ kills, the majority of players in the teens, and a handful with single digit kills. I'm always in the teens and the games are no pleasure for me, so I really feel for the guys at the bottom of the table. It's no fun being stomped game after game by high-tier players. I've went from regularly being in the top two or three in each game with SBMM to barely having a positive k/d with this style. It's absolute sh1t. And, by the way, CBMM has made the teleporting and lag worse in many of the games.

1 ReplyThis game has gone downhill, before the change I actually had a positive experience with Crucible. Now every match is a stomp fest, after 10 games today, and only winning 3 matches. I've come to realize that this game only caters to people of influence, and don't bother to tell me to watch videos or git gud. Come next week, it's going to be a day of salt with Iron Banner. Good Old Bungie screwing the experience for it's players.

Sir, this is a Wendy’s drivethru.

The best way to learn is to throw yourself in at the deep end and its extremely good for you on many other levels I call it the click what ever challenges in life they maybe hard at 1st and then boom like a light switch it goes click and youve got it The key here is to then move on to the next challenge and a seeking a new light switch

26 RepliesLots of people hated sbmm

I’d be more than happy for sbmm to come back if it actually works properly this time.

I don't like the change either. I don't understand why people say its cancer etc. For me personally as an average player, I actually felt I was getting somewhere and improving - even a little - over time. My overall KD since beginning of D2 is 0.9 something last time I ckecked it. Seasonally, in the last few at least, I was hitting 1.2 - 1.3 or thereabouts. So some improvement in my quest to "git good". Now, I either get completely -blam!-ing kerb stomped, or shit all over the other team. So many matches now get called by Shaxx. I'm learning nothing this way. Getting smashed by an unbroken team with 5.+ kds learns me nothing. Smashing lower KD players than me learns me nothing. Its not fun anymore for someone at my level. Smash or get smashed and called out. Repeat...

Just maybe if your energy for complaining about Cbmm used the same amount of energy to get better you would actually enjoy Cbmm.

People like OP finding out just how bad they are must really hurt. This is the best change of the entire season by far.

Cayde I miss you ☹

2 RepliesEdited by GameTesterDev-: 6/27/2020 2:36:42 AMhttps://imgur.com/gallery/O2i41lA Yeah... no... CBMM sucks... not to mention I’m using a CONTROLLER on PC which is supposed to be a Disadvantage over MnK

It is good the way it is.

3 RepliesEdited by Wes: 6/26/2020 10:35:33 PMYou've played 15 games in 2 weeks. 14 of which are Trials Matches. Trials has always been CBMM, but had criteria for the number of wins on a card. The one game of QP you joined was a game you joined near the end. Your overall performance is virtually unchanged since the removal of SBMM (Actually slightly better, but so slightly it's negligible.). So what's your problem exactly?

Glad you’re listening to your players and giving us exactly what we want 👌
Lmao.. Answer me this, How would you know what’s going on in PvP? You’ve literally played 4-5 matches of any CBMM lobby and then one on the 9th of June. You’re not a PvP player. You barely run your 4 games a week for pinnacles. Yet you’re complaining about something you rarely even do. Hilarious!!!! This is why Bungie shouldn’t listen to most of the ppl on this forum. Bunch of liars, the lot of them.
