Tommy’s Matchbook Catalyst Quest came back
Title. Loaded in after 2.9.0.2 and have this at Bamshee.

1 ReplyIF YOU HAVEN"T LOST YOUR CATALYST, ABANDON THE QUEST. For those that already lost progress on their catalyst, I'm sorry. This won't help you. I hope Bungie restores it soon. For anyone who hasn't lost their catalyst, abandon the quest immediately. I already had the catalyst, and when I loaded in to the tower, Banshee had a quest marker, so I talked to him, and he hit me with the "A Good Match" quest. Before leaving the tower, I abandoned it, and after loading in to some combat zones, I still have my catalyst. I wish you luck.

Yep, same here. Got the weapon with the season pass and the catalyst after a while. Triumph already completed for that one. Well, hope that we can get the catalyst back.

For the sake of logging/documenting, Bungie-chord, Banshee has the quest available for me as well. It's important to note I have Tommy's, and the catalyst completed. I picked up the quest by accident, unsure it was the same, and it did [i]not[/i] affect my Matchbook whatsoever, though I have not attempted any progress on it. I have abandoned the quest, and Banshee is providing it again should I tempt fate. Since then it has done nothing to my precious weapon, nor anything else besides Banshee looking sad over having an unloved catalyst quest hanging around his stall. Poor dude needs a break, I say.

4 RepliesCan confirm. My catalyst is nolonger on my gun despite equipping and completing it before it disappeared. Bungie, your customers PAID for the season pass which included the boosts for this catalyst. If you can't retroactively give progress back, then the requirements to re-unlock the catalyst need to be virtually 0. I would rather delete Tommys Matchbook and pretend it never existed then grind this again.

Yup, can confirm lost it on my matchbook. Fix one thing, break 20 more. This isn't looking good for Bungie.

I'd already completed the quest last season but Banshee had a waypoint for the quest start after taking 2.9.0.2. Had to take the quest to access the vendor screen so I'm not sure what my next move should be.

So, if I already completed the catalyst and its already equipped in my weapon. Should I just delete the catalyst quest?

I don't understand why Bungie cant reinstate the catalyst for those who have completed it. There is a record of having done so in my triumphs under the catalyst section. What a mess.

2 RepliesSame here. I've already completed this quest, and the catalyst as well. This could potentially reset my fully upgraded catalyst and mess things up.

The sad thing is that when I saw the quest, I thought, "Oh cool, maybe I completed the grind without realizing!" *Sigh* This game is really starting to feel like an abusive relationship.
