I've had this problem since half way through last season and the crashes have been getting more and more worse as of recently where its got to the point where i cant play for more than 10 minutes before it crashes. If anyone knows a fix that would be great, all my stuff is up to date running a GTX1060 with a ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb ram, OS is on a SSD if that means anything. Also ive tryed a few fixed online but none have worked
Crash always go by my screen freezes but audio continues for 5 seconds then booted to my desktop with no errors any where

Quick update. I fixed the problem the very next day by looking up and installing the latest update for my bios and updating my windows. Both updates pretty mush dropped very recently so i looked over them. The main one that i think fixed it was my bios update. Not sure how that would effect but ya. And before you ask, yes i had the update that fixed D2 crashes with ryzen 3rd gen processors. There was a new one that come out early june that fixed my problem. If this dont work i would try just update random shit, even if it has nothing to do with destiny/gaming, worth a try possibly

2 RepliesI have the exact same problem as you and it started at about the same time as yours. The game has been stable since Y1, but recently it has been crashing to desktop daily, sometimes multiple times a day. The specs, if it matters: ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero AMD Ryzen 7 1800X @3.8GHz 32GB G-Skill DDR4-3200 MSI GeForce GTX 1800 Gaming X 8GB Corsair RM850i Fractal Design Define R6 Arctic Cooling Kelvin S36 Windows 10 Pro 64-bit This is what a typical crash looks like:
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2020-06-24T22:34:44.384174000Z" /> <EventRecordID>14467</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>MONSTER</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>destiny2.exe</Data> <Data>19227.0.0.0</Data> <Data>5ee96239</Data> <Data>destiny2.exe</Data> <Data>19227.0.0.0</Data> <Data>5ee96239</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>000000000130daa1</Data> <Data>6648</Data> <Data>01d64a6cc2bb2007</Data> <Data>C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Destiny 2\destiny2.exe</Data> <Data>C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Destiny 2\destiny2.exe</Data> <Data>d4742e94-5433-42c6-af3d-2013fc489111</Data> <Data /> <Data /> </EventData> </Event>
Now, I can't say much without being able to debug the executable, but 0xc0000005 is a memory access violation, or segmentation fault, which is more often a coding issue than a system issue. I'm running a memory and CPU stress test to rule those out but given that the game, and the system as a whole, have been rock solid for over two years and problems only started occurring two months ago, I'd write it down as an application issue. Is there a way I can turn up debug log levels in Destiny 2? I really don't want to risk getting banned by running it under a debugger myself. There's a miniTicketDbg.exe executable in the Destiny 2 directory but I can't see it doing anything. I think it's a remnant from the Blizzard days. Any ideas?

4 RepliesHi. Thanks for your report. The next time the game crashes, could you link me to your DxDiag? To find this information:
• Press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command “dxdiag” without quotation marks. • Click on “Save all information”. • Copy the text and use a text dump website (i.e. PasteBin.com) to paste the information. Please don't use Google Drive. • Create a link and post it here.
Make sure you have sufficient power, good thermals, and all your drivers are up to date.

the ryzen 3000 series had an issue a while ago that required a firmware update to the motherboard. might want to look into that. also, make sure heat isn't an issue.

Had the same problem. Uninstalled Bit defender anti virus and problem is gone. Hope this helps.

1 ReplyI feel you, my computer specs are just fine and I don't know what to do either. My game crashed or (froze) then booted me to my desktop 5 times in 30 minutes. It's getting really annoying and it seems like no one else is having this issue.
