Why is hip fire grip a possible perk on a sniper?!
There are few things more USELESS on the planet than that perk on a sniper.

Honestly hip fire grip snipers are my “montage sniper” get a free handed grip with hip fire grip and you can land some stupid shots without even trying lol

I’m not a sniper guy and I probably would need a LOT of practice before I could make it work. That being said, I’ve seen very talented players make it work very well. To some, this perk on the correct archetype of sniper is godly.

My hip fire grip freehand grip twilight oath wants a word with you, nothing is funnier than running up and hip firing a sniper like last word on people.

Don't you know? Some people prefer to use sniper rifles as a melee only weapon. Especially in Big Team Snipers in Halo Reach. All melee kills for me. So hip fire grip is actually a god roll.

There’s a few of these that have been around since day 1. I can think of no good reason why they hung around this long.

It's there so you scrap it and have to go look for another one it's just part of the grind mechanics, frustrating but that's how it is.
