Is it possible to just remove the cap on Glimmer? I'm so tired of running around with max glimmer, exploring the world and stumble upon a chest which winds up being basically empty because it only had glimmer in it and I can't carry anymore. It seems so unnecessary, and it makes the rainmaker boost utterly useless to boot.

It would take someone ten minutes to go in and change the 2 to a 9. It’s not about managing recourses either. Sometimes I actually lose track when I’m having a good time. It’s not supposed to be Destiny, the banking game. Or is it?

Remove all currency caps.
-
5 RepliesAn infinite cap would be too much as nobody would ever run out of glimmer. But putting a 1 million cap would be more than enough
-
2 RepliesJust buy sparrows and bank them in case you ever run out.
-
1 ReplyNone of you would have made it in D1 lol

2 Repliesthe cap should be 2,147,483,647. This number is the maximum value that an integer can hold in programming. They could just max it out at 9,999,999 and I wouldn't be butthurt about it. The financial currency situation really does need to be reworked though. Cumulative gains should be tracked at the very least. Even if they had a cap on the currency you could hold at one time, cumulative gains over the course of years could be used as another measure of pride for loyal players over the newbies. Cumulative gains of 10 million, 100 million, 1 billion etcetera could unlock rewards unique to glimmer.

Edited by ♂ Melee is 300$ ♂: 6/23/2020 2:56:25 PMbruh this 250k is already extended , before days we had 100k in destiny 2 and 25k in destiny 1

2 RepliesSpider should be moved to the tower.
-
1 ReplyUhh, spend it?
-
there still needs to be a cap, but with how much more glimmer we are spending on everything. it definitely needs to be increased.
-
Bungie: we’ve listened to the community and will increase the cap by 4x. In other non-related news glimmer costs of upgrade etc will increase by 4x
-
I agree completely. There is no reason for a glimmer cap at all.
-
Been saying it for a long time. Remove glimmer cap and introduce player trading and a broker house. Give the game a real breathing economy.

4 RepliesEdited by Plaster Chief: 6/22/2020 4:40:15 PMI agree. Lately, I've been running out all the time. 250,000 is not enough across 3 characters. The economy in the game needs fixing. Players should not be charged glimmer just for picking up bounties and I don't think you should be charged glimmer or shards for pulling more shaders out of the collections tab. The 50,000 cost for an ascendant shard is too much as well.

I would rather have more slots in my consumables
-
1 ReplyThis or at least like 999,999 cap
-
3 RepliesEdited by Infamous067: 6/22/2020 12:32:01 PMIm always broke in destiny because I infuse a lot of my favorite stuff and I love applying mods and shaders because I get bored easily. I honestly wish there was a way to make glimmer faster lol

Game is pretty gay.
-
You're really lucky just to even have gotten the glimmer cap to be increased. Don't push your luck knowing this company will turn around and do something stupid.
-
I buy raid banners, spider mats, or a whisper ship. I have 90 whisper ships lol.
-
When I max out, I usually visit Spider and just buy whatever he is selling. The destination mats will likely be useful at some point. The 250,000 cap is an odd place to stop. Increasing the cap to 999,999 would be nice, though. They wouldn't even need to change the place holder in programming it, just the values.
-
only problum with this is it would le you buy stuff in the drifter allegiance quest
-
On the flip side I have spent many hours over past week and I struggled to fill my glimmer. Also noticed today when ever I get the rainmaker on precision kills the shower of glimmer doesn't give me any!
-
2 RepliesSo many artificial gameplay loops, like a glimmer cap, the light level grind, etc.
-
4 Repliesit would be nice but that would just remove an artificial grind. We all know Bungie is all about that artificial grind. At the same time, as a friend luckily reminded me. You can just go waste Legendary Shards for Glimmer at Spider; some days. Spent 250k on Upgrade Modules a couple nights ago and recouped my loss at Spider. Not like I don't have thousands of Legendary Shards. Likely the next material Bungo decides to make obsolete. Anyway I've always thought the Glimmer cap is BS. But so is a lot of what Bungie does and decides to do with Destiny. You don't jump into WoW, FFXIV, Elder Scrolls Online with the ability to only hold a small, limited amount of currency. Or most any other game that features a currency for that matter. No you can earn until you cap out at 9,999,999,999 or something.

At least the 250k cap is better than the tiny 25k cap in D1.
