Started a new topic: Crucible is garbage now.
-
I find it hilarious all the sweaty try hard on this post that people complain about have zero up votes so its obvious they dont even like each other and their opinion is in the minority so things should change
-
Cause you aren’t good you were just protected before, step up Git Gud

1 ReplyIf your on PC, it's because of all the hackers Bungie hasn't fully committed to addressing yet.
-
CBMM is too sweaty! SBMM is too sweaty! PvP is too sweaty! If these complaints crop up regardless of the matchmaking system, people might just need to accept the fact that they’re terrible at the game.
-
8 RepliesYou should either accept the fact that you are an under performing player related to the average that results in getting stomped or try to get better. There is no other solution. Except if leaving pvp is your solution.

1 ReplyEdited by Rickles: 6/21/2020 7:11:59 PMI can't even tell the difference. I mean, how is CBMM and SBMM different if you're getting pummeled anyways?

Bastion or bust
-
Agreed - not fun.
-
Yeah its not fun anymore.

Here’s the thing the players that are generally not good in crucible got paired with people around that same skill level prior to season 11 and the same applies to people who were on the upper half of the curve where every game mode turned into comp/ trials regardless of if it were quickplay survival or control good players would be playing against each other as if their life was on the line. Personally I hated SBMM in quickplay because of that reason alone. However it made me a better player going against Top 500 players and 6 stack sweats on a consistent basis Players with less experience actually have a shot at improving their game overall with CBMM. But at the end of the day just know that Bungie can’t please everyone.

116 RepliesEdited by Totally Not Myers: 6/21/2020 2:16:28 PMSo happy so many people are starting to complain about the removal of SBMM. Like I said in my analogy, sports in real life use a system like SBMM with tiered leagues. That's why you don't see young rookie kids against world-class pro athletes. Bungie removing SBMM did just that, make inexperienced/bad players be paired against high APM competitive players. They literally catered to the top 2% of the game's Crucible population with this change, boning the other 98%.

2 RepliesBecause streamers needed some way to farm noobs and make themselves look like pvp gods on youtube. Also the player base has dropped so much people cant find matches so they really had to.
-
Yeah is very unbalanced and broken, also the rise of hackers each match now. Hek i even have soo many screenshots of my steam profile of how broken crucible is lmao

3 RepliesD2 PvP is the laughing stock of the gaming industry. Never tell anyone outside of D2 you play D2 PvP, you will regret it.
-
1 ReplyI like it.

2 RepliesJust finished several matches... not going back - shite show is right. I didn't even come here for that but I'm frustrated as hell... twisted energy????? Complete bounties getting zero drops. WTH??
-
92 RepliesPvP is such a joke - the pvp community is worse - they are only looking for an easy stomp: an opportunity to take advantage less skilled players - as soon as they are challenged they start complaining about weapons -which Bungie then nerfs... Rinse and repeat - it’s a complete waste of time...

3 RepliesThe entire game is buggy as hell. Opponents standing in grenades and witherhoard puddles w/o taking damage. ...or, they die ten seconds later. I had a public event complete in the Tangled shore without the boss ever leaving the pod. Weird.
-
2 RepliesMine’s been odd. One match I go 40+ kills, the next I’m bottom of the barrel. I consider myself a fairly average player in pvp. When SBMM was active I at least felt like matches were relatively consistent. Now every match is a stomp one way or the other with one or two people per team with crazy KDs and the rest of us sub 1 or barely above it. Not a fan. If it wasn’t the fastest way to unlock the witherhoard catalyst I wouldn’t bother. Also the connection quality of people in my lobby has decreased dramatically. I used to get people mostly in the US, but now it’s all over the place.

16 RepliesEdited by Merc: 6/21/2020 9:17:05 AMI see several posts about PvP right now. People, the average players, dislike the new “competitive mindset” to all of crucible. Other people, the try hard sweats, think they are superior and get off telling others to “get good”. I’m pretty average at crucible. I havent looked in a while, but last time I did I was 1.01. Could be less, could be more at this point. I’m sure some sweat will bring it up. I almost always play crucible solo. Not because I have no friends (as is the common claim). If you have to crutch off of others that hard, you aren’t really “good” are you? “Look mom, I can team shoot 3v1 and win”. Too many of you get enjoyment out of simply ruining someone else game. It’s not about winning or being good, it about trashing on someone else. Point is, average players would like to be able to enjoy PvP when they HAVE to play it or just want to switch up their activities. I personally despise when a quest requires PvP functions. I’ll do weeklies on occasion and help my clan sometimes, but PvP is really ruined by try hards for a lot of people. I don’t care if a players KD is 4.0 or .5. Maybe 6 kills in a game is awesome for them. Maybe that’s all they needed to finish a mission they’ve been working on. Players want to win, I get that. But don’t ruin it for others who aren’t as serious as you. Just because you are better at an activity doesn’t entitle you to talk down to less skilled players. I’m not going into games 6 stacked to sweat all day and build an irrelevant kd. I go in for missions and bounties. Some games I destroy, some I mid tier, some I get destroyed.

The biggest thing I noticed since they changed to cbmm is the lag. Could be from no body playing anymore or something else. Who knows.
-
Tbh im kinda glad last season i was i think 0.3% in the world for iron banner and control i was diamond elo it took me forever to match i dont mean like a few minutes im talking half an hour to an hour to the point i needed other people to load into matches it was dumb because of sbmm now i can go in solo and not have to wait long times to play I play the objective i love control capturing recapture etc but not being able to play because you play well sucks I know my grammer sucks idk its a forum but im glad its gone i can play again
-
I doubt that. Crucible is much faster paced than last season. Yea getting mercies sucks. But so does mercying the opposing team. It’s not fun. Cbmm with a better division of teams would make the crucible interesting.

2 RepliesWhatever the reason for the results I can say that my matches have been a hell of a lot different from 2 weeks ago compared to today. I'm certainly not good or even average by any stretch of the imagination and only game casually for a bit of fun ..... but it was far from that today in Crucible. Bit of a dead zone for me with my deceased guardian providing the dead part of the equation - Guardian Down, again. I'm certainly not a quitter even if everyone else jumps and leaves me being farmed by six, so if you see me on your team at the bottom, deep in the 0.30 territory, I'm just gaming against what's in front of me. Sorry if it drags the team result down :-( See you out there.

It being sweaty is fine, but its the balancing of it. Usually stacks a team against average players which is -blam!-ed haha
