Before the tryhards that still want to gatekeep 2+ year old rng raid exotics because they wOrKeD for their exotics pull out their pitchforks, hear me out.
Literally everyone who was keen on getting these rng dropped raid exotics has it already. It was hard to find decent raid groups back when said raids were actually new and relevant, now its literally impossible to find decent and fun raid groups for old raids.
Either the ppl who still play them have their dedicated closed raid groups (rich get richer) or its completely new players who don't know how to play or you get ppl that don't/barely speak english, don't want to learn (just want gear handed out) or get carries.
I could go on on my terrible experience with raid lfg's in the past compared to now where its literally hell. Even a 10 percent drop chance going up to 50 on a few clears isn't enough to make me and many others go through that hell. (All the actual fun ppl i met through destiny quit a while ago)
People had way more time to show around their "exclusive" stuff than needed, i think it's time that others who didnt have the patience to run 100+ last wish raids or scourges to get their hands on these. If you sunset everything, stop gatekeeping the only things that won't get sunset and will for certain be viable.
In addition, imo anarchy needs a significant nerf. People are literally doing more damage with that thing passively without aim requirement or any sort of skill than people actually working for their damage. It's insane. It needs to only do tick damage when 4+ are connected on the floor and not to the enemies themselves or something. The people using it rn never talk about anarchy being too strong but mountaintop needs to be sunset. Anarchy is more op than mountaintop, with that logic both need to be sunset immediately.
Acrius and Divinity were better, everyone who put in some effort and wanted to chase them, got them. Put cosmetic stuff as exclusive rewards in as raid rng drops all you want but these extreme meta weapons should not be gatekept for 2+ years like they are now.
On a side note, all the cool stuff people could obtain from pvp "endgame" like not forgotten, redrix, mt etc will be sunset. All the exclusive stuff from pvp. Pve sweats get to keep their stuff and even the most powerful ones. Thats bs.
So we need some catchup mechanics for those old rng drops since its extremely unenjoyable to chase these in old raids like these. Give us different ways to earn them. With scourge and crown going away this september aswell, i really hope these guns won't just vanish with them, gatekeeping even more.

Edited by scristopher: 7/20/2020 1:43:53 AMSorry, you had to be there. Also I don't feel bad for you if you weren't, you literally have until November at this point to get them and it's not hard at all. Today me and a couple guys from my clan helped nearly if not more than a dozen people get anarchy, just go and try to get it.
-
I NEVER raid and i think those exotics should stay in the raids (with the exception of anarchy due to vaulted content).
-
No raid exotics need to stay raid exotics.
-
With the introduction of the new currency to get old seasonal exotics, this would be a great idea.

29 RepliesEdited by The Legend Himself: GONZO: 6/22/2020 1:56:05 AMI’ll never understand why people are so selfish and insist on gating people out of content. “i hAd tO eArN iT sO yOu sHoUlD tOo!” Earn!? It’s a freakin’ video game! You sat on your couch and dedicated countless hours to a video game for digital loot! And guess what? You got it! You got your loot and you’ve enjoyed it for well over a year now while others who don’t have the time or inclination to grind for digital guns have not. Why not let them “earn” it via a quest? Because people in this community are toxic and selfish, that’s why. I legitimately get excited when people get loot that I don’t have. It makes me happy to see their excitement. And I hate enjoying weapons (like my Divinity) while some of my friends cannot because they don’t dedicate their lives to this game. There seriously needs to be a period of time that, once elapsed, adds raid-gated exotics into the world loot pool or creates a quest for them that’ll allow non-raiders to enjoy those weapons too. And now that I’ve expressed my wants, anyone who’s made it this far and disagrees with me will proceed to call for my head for blasphemy! How dare I want others to enjoy guns that I’ve been enjoying for well over a year! The nerve of me!

Stock up on materials cores prisms and shards be ready for beyond light wait for vault system content to be vaulted then you will get your weapons via a quest and being surrounded by loads of new better ones Time management m8 ask yourself is it really worth it or do I wanna be ultra ready for beyond light

4 RepliesI got lucky. I got my anarchy on my first completion.

1 ReplyLMAO!!!!!! Nerfing anarchy makes about as much sense as putting an elevator in an outhouse!!!!!!!!!

1 ReplyEdited by Zed Ingalls: 6/22/2020 1:28:39 AMCrown and Scourge go away next season, they probably will be a quest or a Xur exotic. Plus the drop rate is hilariously high compared to what it was 6 months ago. They've buffed it twice now. It's fine. If you do 20 Scourges and complain about getting Anarchy for free... c'mon... Took me almost 40
-
4 RepliesYou have done Scourge of the Past 1 time and are complaining about how Anarchy is being "gatekept" from you. You have done Last Wish 4 times and are complaining about how 1000 Voices is being "gatekept" from you. You have done Crown of Sorrow 6 times and are complaining about how Tarrabah is being "gatekept" from you. In the most recent update, Bungie made it the easiest it's ever been to get these exotics, and instead of making an attempt, you run to the forums and blame Bungie when you didn't even try. You also say that it's time for those who don't have patience to run 100+ raids to get these items, as if it's a normal occurrence for it to take 100+ runs. The recent bad luck protection update made it to where it would be strange if it even took more than 20. If you go run 20 of each raid, and still don't get the exotics, I'll listen to your complaints. But since you are complaining without making ANY REAL ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER, your complaints don't make any sense.
-
1 ReplyThey buffed the drop rate. The game ultimately needs some raid exotics to be RNG only. Alot of the best destiny moments are getting that rare drop.
-
14 RepliesI too share your sentiment. My lack of whisper or Izanagis has left me out in the cold when it comes to raiding. I don't blame lfg or anyone, I blame Bungie for the raid meta they've set up.
-
People like the grind for the exotics. Or at least I do... 🙏🏽
-
Not gonna lie bro that's like this other post asking for trials to not be as hard like my dude raid gear(including exotics) and trials gear aren't supposed to be easy to get and they aren't supposed to be super wide spread and if they were the game would be much more stupid and boring
-
10 RepliesYou realize this is has it was in D1 right? Back then, Bungie didn't even buff drop rates for rng raid exotics. Even non raid exotics like Ghalarhorn were extremely toughe to get, I didn't get it till they brought it back as a quest exotic.
-
1 ReplyYou lost me at "Rich get richer" and had me dying of laughter at "nerf anarchy." I see why you have no friends to raid with
-
4 RepliesI'm a solo player and i gotta say, you're exaggerating the lfg experience, most of my raid run is pretty chill fast and fun Even when running with first timer And no, raid exotic should always drop at the final chest of a raid That's why it's called raid exotic not quest exotic
-
2 RepliesScourge is one of the friendliest raids for raid newbs ever (the end boss has the simplest mechanics of any end boss to date) and is really short. Super easy to do 3 times with a stacking percentage to get Anarchy. Xbox LFG (smallest population) has several groups going at any given time. Last Wish allows you to skip to the final boss, do it three times in less than an hour, then do the very last encounter in 5 min to open 3 chests which give a stacking percentage to get 1K. LFG on all platforms is full of open groups looking to do it. Tarrabah came packaged with bad luck percentage and is the only one I’ll admit has problems with LFG. Crown has never been a particularly popular raid (at least based on number of LFG groups). There’s zero reason you can’t get off your ass and go get the guns yourself. Tarrabah is the only one that’s even decently tough to get. Anarchy and 1K have never been easier. Hell I’d argue they’re easier to get than Izanagi’s, Malfeasance, Thorn, etc because it’s WAYY harder to get a group for those special strikes/dungeons than the raids.

1 ReplyI was with you till the 6th paragraph. Anarchy is OP and needs sunset "immediately". Good lord, pull up your pants, your panties are showing.
-
3 RepliesI can agree with tarrabah and anarchy being moved to to exotic engram loot pool, but only because the raids that they drop from are being removed from the game, but not 1K since we are keeping last wish. Also the fact that these exotics are exclusive to these raids is why they get replayed so much. And I don’t really agree with you on nerfing anarchy. A lot of it’s damage came out of the fact that it could be paired with stuff like mountain top, but since mountain top is going away I really don’t see a need for anarchy to get hit with a nerf to.
-
I’m assuming that exotic thingy we get off of the season pass will be able to get it for people next season. Probably wrong but what I’m thinking. That cipher thingy.
-
They did it in D1, just saying....
-
7 RepliesJust do the raid 🤷♂️
-
3 RepliesOh so let’s just NOT do the raid and wait until Bungie hands it to us...piss off
