Game freezing and crashing to desktop.

I have played Destiny 2 since release with relatively little issue however starting with Season of the worthy have been encountering consistent game crashes. After some time of playing the game will freeze for around 30 seconds before crashing to desktop with no error code. While frozen I can still hear the game being played. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered an issue like this or may know what is going on as I would really like to play again and the game has become essentially unplayable. Any help would be appreciated.

  • https://i.imgur.com/nv2PVlL.png It's just Destiny being Destiny. I never expect a fix for this.

  • You are not alone, this has been happening to me since the start of the season. Seems random but it usually happens when changing a mod while I am in a fight.

  • https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/48179 It's a known issue being "investigated." This site has a list of fixes that worked in the past. None of them have worked for me, but maybe you'll have better luck. https://www.ghostarrow.com/destiny-2-fix-problem-reading-game-content

  • I've been locking up since last night. It's only been in crucible when I get a kill. Sometimes it's the first kill, sometimes it's the 10th. It's always a melee kill or grenade launcher kill. Never anything else. No error code, just visually freezes with the sound continuing for about 5 seconds then silence. I've reinstalled windows 10 pro 3 times now. No fix. I've run the game with no other apps in the task manager, disabled overlays, reinstalled destiny, reseated ram, swapped ram, ensured the temps shown are accurate, rolled back drivers and bios. All this and no fix. I'm at my breaking point with trying to troubleshoot this. My PC is a new build with a 10900K, Asus Maximus XII Formula, NZXT Kraken X73, 2x 16GB GSkillz Royal 3600, 512gb Samsung 970 PRO m2 OS drive and 512gb 970 PRO SSD for apps, in a nzxt h700i. Destiny 2 is on the OS drive right now. Temps have never broken 50C for CPU and 65C for GPU. I hope there is a fix for this soon. This is very disappointing. If someone has some other things that have worked for them other than the ghost arrow stuff I'm all ears.
