So my "pinnacle gear" reward for 3 matches of Gambit was just a helmet 1 power above my current helmet?
So yea i just completed my 3rd match of gambit for my "pinnacle gear" reward. I got 3 pieces of armor. Not sure which one is considered pinnacle. My overall power is a 1014 and i got a helmet that was 1013 and a couple of other low pieces that are not even higher than anything. Bungie forced me to play this mode for the stupid weekly "means to an end" and 3 matches for what was supposed to be a high upgrade and i got ripped off. Not to mention it takes 8 hours to respawn.

When you say your PL is 1014, is that base or including artifact? Powerful and pinnacle drops consider your base level.

2 RepliesGambit, strikes and crucible pinnacles are all only +1. These should be done after raid, nf, nm, dungeons, 100k and clan pinnacles that drop higher. Hope that helps

Save the pinnacle drops till you beef up your guardian. It’s a 1+ pinnacle which isn’t going to give much. If you’re good at crucible, comp is a good way to get powerful gear. Every sub rank is a powerful drop plus you get 50 valour for every win so both glory and valour will give plenty of drops

If you're 1014 you should be grinding powerful drops

I barely moved my first character this week. Too many doubles, too many 1 point increments. Some weeks you just get screwed.

It’s a +1 pinnacle. Meaning it will be +1 to your power level. Even above 1050 power cap. That doesn’t mean it will drop above power cap level if you haven’t hit it yet. We’re you expecting a 1051 drop from gambit when you’re only at 1016 [i]with[/i] artifact power bonus?

18 RepliesYes that weekly pinnacles like strikes, pvp and gambit should reward at least +2/3 pinnacles. Yes they are easy to get but same or even more time consuming than Ordeal or Nightmare Hunt.

If this is on a 2nd character that is the same class as your 1st then you only get pinnacle gear for each pinnacle activity for your 1st character.

Yeah gambit, pvp, clan, strike playlist, all reward +1. It's something to do if you feel like wasting time, but otherwise, a pointless waste of time trying to get 1/8 of +1 light level. I think i got a +2 special from the weakly seasonal pinnacle but then got a +1 special from gambit.
