I'm not sure I like CBMM

First off, I'm somewhere between casual and hardcore. Crucible is basically the endgame for me, as most everything I do in PVE is a grind to get better gear for PVP. My stats aren't great, but with SBMM I've been getting better, having close games, learning the maps, learning my guns. That's not happening with CBMM however. Pretty much every game I've played so far has been a stompfest on either side. Quite a few games I played had sweaty stacks on the other side (never on my team, funnily enough) who just ran around and teamshot people. And I'm not learning anything. I'm not learning map awareness from the ultra god no scope snipers. I'm not learning how to aim better when I fight someone who just insta kills me with their friends whenever I peek a corner. And if anything, my matches have been even laggier, which is exactly what CBMM is supposed to prevent. And before you say "Go play Survival," in what world is a competitive game mode the one to relax in? When everyone on the other side is sweating as hard as they can? Problem is, Quickplay is even sweatier than Survival now. I do see the other side of the issue though. I have a friend who is very good at PVP, and under SBMM he wasn't having a good time. I tried a Survival game with him and we got completely stomped. In Quickplay, however, he can relax and have fun, which equates to 40 kill games. On every side of those 40 kills is a more casual player who is hating life right now. So really, I don't know what can be done. I feel like SBMM with dedicated servers would help a lot, but the population isn't large enough so sweats still wouldn't be able to relax. I guess what we need is better lobby balancing, squad matchmaking, and above all DEDICATED SEVERS. Unfortunately we will never get that without a D3, so we'll be having this CBMM SBMM debate for a long time to come.
