Cozmo, Cozmo, where fore art thou Cozmo?
Appreciate the feedback. We've let the team know that this season's power bump has not been enjoyed by a lot of players. Let us know if you liked the smaller power bumps between seasons or if you only want power bumps at certain times like every other season or just when expansions are releases. Thanks!
Oh, you're taking requests, let me see(forgive any typos, I did voice texting for much of this) : 1) content isn't bounties. I didn't pay for the whole season for my son and myself just to grind mindless bounties and call it 'seasonal content'... What I did pay for was a fricken story, some actual original game play missions, not, "go do this list sector, not ground a manors bounty in gambit, now go do a strike, now frick off until next season." 2) yes, imagine that, people want to play the content when it was released. No one wants to grind another 50 levels just to do the new dungeon that won't even be around for the next season. So, yes, I farmed the crap out of the forge and I don't even care who knows. Because I paid to play the new content, not to mindlessly grind for three weeks to get to the edge of the pinnacle cap. Stick to 10 levels for a small bump and 50 for the September release. 3) okay, while we are on this subject of power levels, for those of us that actually grind out the Pinnacle cap and get to the Pinnacle Max can you make it worth our while for the next season? The last three seasons I have reached the Pinnacle Max only at the start of the next season 2 be quickly outpaced by the people who were 10 levels behind me. Sure, it's handy when you're trying to do Grandmasters and things of that nature but when the next season comes there is no advantage to having those extra 10 levels because everyone else pretty much is right there with you after a few Pinnacle drops. Maybe for those who reach the Pinnacle cap in season 11, perhaps give them a bonus set of Pinnacle engrams that are coded to drop one of each of the gun types and one of each of the armor types so that and when we reach the beginning of the Pinnacle climb we can turn those in and get a slight advantage? 4) nobody but you guys wants weapon retirement. No one certainly wants armor retirement. The thing that I find even more troubling is even if we go along with his master plan there's no reason for us to grind out new weapons or armor. We might as well just play with whatever crap guns we get and whatever crap armor we ger and don't even bother trying to grind for weapons and armor that we really want because we're not going to be able to keep it past a year anyway. So tell me why we should be grinding year after year for armor and weapons? It's not going to matter in the long run we're going to lose all the counters that we had on the gun kills and everything else. Sure we can go and use that in strikes and in Crucible but we can't use it in the events that really matter to the people that want to play them. Can't really use them in Iron Banner you can't really use them in Grandmasters you can't really use them in the new raids they're pretty much worthless. What's deeply troubling is that one of your developers said, "oh but then we can go ahead and make guns without risk of having to care because it's going to be rotated out." Well that's all fine and dandy except that that's not really true you guys are just going to rehash the same skins in the same guns over and over and over and over and over again. And then of course your counter argument is that you can still use the Last Wish armor and the garden of Salvation armor and those raid weapons and old weapons because they're being rotated back in but that's not really true is it? I can't use the ones that I've already ground for I have to regrind those weapons all over again if I want to use those weapons with those rolls because they're not from season 12. The ikelos shotgun is a good example. Currently it's Cap is 1060, but if you get one from the prophecy dungeon it caps out at 1360. So I can't use the original shotgun I have to go and farm a brand new shotgun, which just infuriates the player base and really just tells the player base that you don't care about all the time and energy that we spent investing into this game. I play over 2000 hours a year on this game, that's more than a full-time job, if I want a gun I will grind the hell out of it to try and find one. I went into the Menagerie and groundout 763 Trust hand cannons until I got the role that I wanted. Guns that we want we will go and grind them and it should be up to us whether we want to grind them or not. At the very least if you're going to bring back weapons and say, "look you can use your shotguns from the escalation protocol," then they should be the shotguns that were from the escalation protocol. Not the ones from the prophecy dungeon or should at least be both, not just the new ones. You shouldn't Force us to go in and regrind out all the raids just to get weapons to use for another year. I'm only playing this current season because I've already paid for it, I don't know if I'm really going to invest any more time into this game come September. Weapon retirement and armor retirement is a huge part of that. 5) this season is actually good. But seriously, if you call this season good it's like saying that air is really good when you've been drowning for the past two seasons. The last two seasons had no story whatsoever and that lackluster public event that lasted 2 hours where everybody was in the tower and we didn't even get to interact with anything was absolutely horrible. You can go to slayerage and watch his video where the whole entire thing is summed up in 4 minutes. If you're going to have us going to the tower where we can't even interact with something that's probably the way to do it instead of just having people mindlessly sit around the tower expecting to interact with something and then not being able to. You can't even blame this on Activision. 6) why is there not an option to change your character? You guys sell everything else inside the eververse store why can't you have a spa? A place where you can change your character's appearance, go in and change them to male or female, change its race around if you want to, something to differentiate between the current Guardians that we have without having to completely start the entire campaign All Over Again by deleting our character. 7) so here we are in season 11, and again it's just a Mindless public event that I've did just for a few of the bounties. There has to be more to this game than that. Destiny one was full of a very rich and vibrant story that you got to interact with. Granted, you have a weekly Mission which seems to be revealing the story slowly and I guess that's somewhat acceptable. But you guys have lost your Edge when it comes to storytelling and with the ability to interact. Pretty much this game right now is going to bounties and once you're done with that you'll play with your friends in The Crucible. News flash, not everybody likes The Crucible. Not everybody likes Gambit. Not everybody likes mindlessly doing strikes over and over and over. I think you are onto something with the Grandmasters, they're very challenging, but that's not enough. 8) I'm an author, if you guys don't have the time or the care to actually write story content, drop me a line and I will work for Bungie and revamp this whole entire freaking game. 9) I think you already know that the whole Sprint thing is a bunch of crap. I can't tell you how many times I died because of your stupid double toggle b*******. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. 10) why would you take away skill-based matchmaking inside The Crucible? For those of us who don't really enjoy Crucible on a continuous basis the times that we do go in there we certainly don't want to have to worry about getting crushed 90 to 10. I don't really care if the sweaty sweats in the YouTube Universe are complaining about it, the people who are paying your bills and buying this stuff on a daily basis wants skill-based matchmaking so we're not going up against sweat in The Crucible every single match. 11) Raids! There really needs to be more than one raid in an entire year. Even if it's just a small raid Lair it's something that we can do other than the same mindless raid over and over and over. I am so incredibly sick of Garden of Salvation than I really don't even want to play it and the only reason that I do is because of the Pinnacle climb. Speaking of that Pinnacle climb, that raid really needed a heavy, you know that, but it certainly has way too many damn energy weapons. I've gone through that raid and got nothing but energy weapons before and I've went through that raid and have gotten no armor at all. When there were very few Pinnacle sources that was very frustrating. Now that you have a couple of more Pinnacle Sources it's not as annoying but it is still very frustrating to go through there with a chance of getting four Pentacles and they all end up being energy weapons. Oh, I'm sure I could go on. But I reached the character limit.

  •
Let us know if you liked the smaller power bumps between seasons or if you only want power bumps at certain times like every other season or just when expansions are releases. Thanks! - Cozmo
I HATE power bumps. I want to buy the content, play it when I have the time, NOT do boring chores first, and NOT have it go away before I finish it. And when I say content I don't mean "put the ball in the thing to upgrade the thing." Is that all you guys can come up with? Stop with that crap already!

  • I can tell you from experience. Bungie application simply asks why do you want to work for Bungie. If your answer in anyway is so you can improve aspects of the game and it’s continuity. They won’t be calling you. Maybe I should have said because I am a guardian and the tower needs my skills.

        • 1: exaggeration lol. Someone’s a whiner! 2: thats called timegating. If it wasn’t timegated, you’d play it day one and have no content. It’s necessary. 3: pinnacles are for the hardcore. Not for casuals. There’s not supposed to be a reason for you to chase them, they’re so hardcore people don’t run out of things to do. 4: people are still whining about sunsetting? It has to happen... you’ll get over it. 5: Worthy was the only bad season we’ve had in a long time. Dawn was great. Stop talking like you refuse to believe bungie can actually do something right. 6: you don’t look at your character, ever. This is not an RPG, armor is the only customization that matters. 7: you think D1 was better? Sad. Take off your nostalgia goggles and see that D1 was trash compared to D2. 8: you know there’s tons of story in the game right? You couldn’t write better if you tried. 9: they’re fixing it this week relax. 10: SBMM was awful. It caused sweaty, laggy matches that took forever to queue. Anyone who wants to go back to that can go play CS:GO. 11: we got a dungeon this season and you still complain about no endgame stuff. Really. Ugh.
Oh, I'm sure I could go on. But I reached the character limit.
I dare you to.
