1 ReplyIt's not fair, never was, bungie established forums mostly for a discord like place more than a feedback, and they get what they do from seats and streamers alike, who want the most of a challenge, people say that destiny 2 was a great game until shadowkeep, bungie was it's own downfall, luke smith is just stupid

4 RepliesYou'll never get a straight answer. The last time they removed it (last year) it was because player numbers on PC had gotten so low that the game simply couldn't sustain any sort of SBMM. So Bungie claimed they "broke" SBMM by "accident", and imposed CBMM on the rest of the game to hide that embarrassing fact. But all you had to do is MM into any activity at the time on PC....and you could the horrible lag and the terrible matchmaking times. I tried to MM into a Gambit game on PC at that lime, and the game literally couldn't find a match for me. I suspect the same situation has occured. That either PC numbers or Stadia numbers have gotten so low in the Crucible that the game simply can't support SBMM anymore, and the whole game winds up changing because of one problem platform.

Cause the sweats and streamers cry the most.

3 RepliesLet me answer your question with a question. Would you rather have games where no matter how much time you put it your skill level wouldn’t increase? Or, would you rather have it so queue times are faster and there isn’t as much lag. Players will be able to use new things instead of being forced to use best in slot for a chance to win because the sweaty for the skilled players?

11 RepliesLots of reasons. Fact is most people who do not like the change A. hardly play or B. SBMM still did not work for them its just a nice idea thinking it actually helps. The game for most has improved dramatically. No longer waiting 10 minutes to match up with someone across the world, hit detection is better, less lag. This all coming from an avg player (not a 1% elitist). Just as in SBMM you will have both good and bad games. Keep playing you'll get better. SBMM never worked as advertised and did more harm than good, hence as to why it was removed from the game. The change was to improve the quality and it has. Quicker to get a game, better in game performance, less lag, hit registration is better. etc.

7 RepliesYou people are actually sitting in the forums trying to get bungie to put SBMM back into regular crucible instead of actually trying to improve at the game. If you have a 0.5 kd you will never improve versing other 0.5 kd players I promise you that. So get off the forums and go practice at crucible instead of complaining. Good players should not be punished for being good at the game but bad players should be punished for being bad.

Long story short most of bungie and the streamers/youtubers use reddit and I’m guessing that’s where they get all of the feedback from. Youtubers and streamers feed bungie logical feedback going off there own wants and needs then they tell us we told bungie what you wanted which is anywhere near the truth. Go look if you don’t believe me.
Why did Bungie remove SBMM?
Because skbmm in a P2P game was/is a terrible idea.
-
Because having it in pubs is rubbish.

Why did Bungie remove SBMM?
Because streamers don't like playing other sweaty try-hards. It makes them look bad. So they brought back the cannon fodder for them because iT hAs tO bE wAtChAbLe.

1 ReplyLoud voices (many of them top tier players) have been asking for it to be removed so they don't have to sweat every game... Unfortunately, now everybody but them has to sweat every game
-
People complained instead of playing classic mix I guess.
-
2 RepliesBecause it ruined PvP entirely. Get that trash out of quickplay.
-
5 RepliesThey will change it back eventually. Just wait until Bungie sees the drop in overall participation.
-
2 RepliesBecause streamers would only face other tryhard streamers. And streamers are bungie's priority.

1 ReplyThe only way to get SBMM back is to have your voice heard. Make post on the forum asking for sbmm back. Like all the post that want it back. And stop playing crucible. And tell your friends and have them spread the word. Don't play crucible, Show Bungie how we feel. Boycott crucible tell your friends

You Asking Bungie? A Butcher is never going to tell you what cut of T-Bone you’re getting, you’re better off sticking your head up a bull’s butt. 👍
