Can I safely change my PSN ID without it affecting my active Cross-Save?
Hello,
I've tried searching for this but with no luck, hoping you can help.
I have an active Cross-Save, with the main account coming from PS4. I would like to change the PSN ID of that account, but I'm worried that this might somehow cause deactivation or other problems with my Destiny 2 cross save. Can anyone confirm if this has happened to them, or if it would be fine? I know people who have changed ID *before* activating cross save for the first time, but has anyone changed ID *during* an active cross save, and if so has this affected the alternate platforms linked with that main account?
What I want to avoid is the 90 day cooldown before I can re-connect cross-save, as I mainly play on PC now, so I'm hoping that I would just be able to change the PSN ID without it de-activating cross save, because then i'd be stuck playing only on console for 3 months...

1 ReplyIf by change the ID you mean using Sony's name change feature and not actually a completely different PSN account, then yes, you can change how your PSN name is displayed at playstation.com and it won't effect your existing cross save at bungie.net. If you're talking about a completely different PSN account than the one that is currently linked, then no, there is no way to swap out accounts linked to your bungie.net profile while cross save is active. So to do an account swap would require first disabling cross save, changing the linked account, then waiting the 90 days to re-enable cross save.
