Starting Destiny 2 as a Rookie And I need mega help.

So from the title. You can tell that I am a very BIG nooby to destiny. Or the destiny series entirely. But I'd like to ask for some tips. What should a new player do? What's the best way to get the best gear? What class do you guys prefer? What types of guns would you use? Should I do raids? (I don't have friends who play D2 xD) These are some questions that have been floating In my fat head for a bit uwu. So please If you can help me out. From a noob to a another player that has 100's of more hours than me, Cayde-6

  • I recommend starting with the strike playlist. Its the fastest way to reach the soft cap (1000 power). After that do you powerfuls in the order of tier 1, 2, and then pinnacle if you can (might need someone to teach you the raid and dungeon if you own shadowkeep). As for powerful guns, I'm going to assume you are just a Vanilla player, in which case doing the contact public event can net you some Umbral engrams which hold quite a few good weapons. You can also do crucible or strikes to get tokens to turn into Shaxx or Zavala for world drop rewards, some of which are considered to be top tier guns, such as Dire Promise and Last Hope. For exotics you can either get them as a world drop, complete associated quests which you will find in the exotics tab in your quests menu, or purchase them from Xur. If you. Need to find Xur, there are a multitude of websites, though the aplty namex findxur is the best.

  • Hmmm just play on whatever character you feel the most comfortable on. I’d recommend doing strikes till you get to light level 1000 which you can do easily. and you also get a feel for supers/weapons when playing strikes. Then once you hit 1000 try doing some of the exotic quests. And after that you can look up on YouTube for specific things you need to do. Do this 2 more times on two other characters. And I’m sure you’d have a feel for the game after that.

  • I use warlock for health and battle support, titan as defense (ward of dawn), and hunters for all out assault. Thats just me though so ya know.... the best way is to totally do strikes, gambit, menagerie, reckoning, and don't be afraid to hit up crucible from time to time. You get powerful drops everytime you rank up your valor/glory. Best farm spot for kills? Escalation protocol on mars. Good luck guardian
