BUG!!!: Umbral Engrams
I wanted to complete Shadowkeep before I started any new missions or quests from Season of The Arrival, so I exited the first mission in which you search for Eris. After this I gained lots of new Umbral Engrams, but now my engrams inventory is full with these new engrams, which means I can’t complete the quest where I must return to the Drifter: [i]In the Face of Darkness[/i]. I was recommended changing characters and doing the quest up to there on a different character, but both are 600 light, and I’m not going to pay £16 for an upgrade sorry. Please find a way to fix this issue!!! I’ve been waiting for pyramid ships for years and I really want to play through this season as soon as possible! Thanks very much.

FOR EVERYONE HAVING THIS FULL INVENTORY UMBRAL ENGRAM SITUATION, GO ON ANOTHER CHARACTER THAT HASNT DONE THE DRIFTER QUEST INVOLVING THE UMBRAL ENGRAM AND ONCE YOURE ON THE CHARACTER THAT HASNT DONE AND DOESNT HAVE A FULL ENGRAM INVENTORY, CONTINUE THE QUEST AS NORMAL, ACCEPT THE ENGRAM FROM DRIFTER GO TO THE DECODER AND GET YOUR ITEM. HOP ON YOUR MAIN CHARACTER AND YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECODE ALL YOUR UMBRAL ENGRAMS!!!!!!!!!!

Same here. Inventory is full. Postmaster is full. I'm unable to decrypt the engrams and progress in the game. I'm losing loot because my Postmaster is full. I mentioned a refund for the season i'm unable to play. I think Bungie deleted that thread. Daywrecker

Same.... Played around a bunch before doing the quest. Now I'm at the point where you talk to the Drifter and he shows you how to decode the Umbral Engram, but I can't take his from him because my inventory is full of them.... When I try to use the Decoder it just says I don't have any...

3 RepliesI have the exact same problem. Extremely annoyed, as my Postmaster box is getting filled up and can't access any Engrams from them either, as my Engram inventory is full too. BUNGIE PLEASE FIX THIS! Why hasn't there been any response from them yet? At least an acknowledgment that they know there is a problem and that they are working towards a fix.

Please Bungie. I have the same issue with umbral engrams. I've bought the past extensions and i played it. And i get many of these engrams. But i can't continue with the Drifter 'cause my inventory it's full. So please! FIX IT!. 😡😩

same issue here, just came back after a year long break and was figuring out ware I left off and before I know it my invertory is full of engrams I cant open

So, as at 13 June there are about 30 of us (?) with this game-stopping problem only a few days into Season of Arrival? Yet no comment from Bungie? Why isn't there an offcial comment from Bungie headlining this thread saying something life-affirming like..."wow, sorry we mucked up here...we've got a couple of sturdy minds onto recoding this so that you can progress and continue etc etc". Nope, radio silence from Bungie instead. Isn't it clear that such a significant game fault (ie stopping any effective progress) will influence anyone planning to commit $ to the new content available in September? How much does it cost to just say to us - "we're working on it...solution is not far away"? And surely such a crude and basic fault should have been picked up in pre-release testing?!

Edited by OldTrafford Fan: 6/12/2020 9:14:19 PMIt sux. A lot have gotten stuck with the "SoftLock" issue. If you have another character available, do the Eris/Drifter quest line on that one. Once the Recaster is opened, it is opened for all your guardians. That will remove the lock and allow you to continue unhindered.

Same, just got the game and purchased the content 3 days ago and then this happens. Didn't realize the first thing you have to do in destiny when you first start playing the game is a mission from shadow keep................already feel like quitting lmao.

7 RepliesSolution: Use another character, talk with difter and pick the abandomnd quest, that is the one u need. You get the quest progres for ur first character tal King with drifter. Then close the tab and talk with the difter again. Regards

From what I’ve learned via people who have commented, when using a different character that is too low a light level to complete the first mission, use either weapons from your collection, and I’ve learned myself that you can obtain high legendary gear from the season pass to level up and complete the first mission above 750.
