Self explanatory, this results in the kill tracker being wildly below the expected amount, since during minor clearing the vast majority of Trinity Ghoul's kills are a result of the Lightning Rod arrows.
A Subtle Calamity bow with dragonfly successfully tracks kills caused by the dragonfly explosion, Sunshot successfully tracks kills caused by Sun Blast, and Graviton Lance successfully tracks kills caused by Cosmology. So there is a precedent for these types of effects counting towards the kill tracker. I would have liked to test Le Monarque as well, but it has no catalyst and thus no tracker.

I also want to point out, it does not track in third party API's either. Things like Charlamagne, Destiny Tracker, and the like are not counting Lightning Rod kills as either bow kills or even kills at all. Oddly enough, it does count on end-activity report screens (strike ending, dungeons, and raids). I have been using Trinity Ghoul for most of this season for most activies, it rocks but I should have way more than 8K kills with it that a TPA is telling me that I have for this entire year of Destiny. For reference, I have walked out of The Last Wish with several hundreds of kills using Trinity Ghoul over the course of the season (even ~2K in one run). I also used it for nearly every Solstice set activity (did all 3 sets). By simple math with the hours I have put in (~8 raids per week + regular activities galore), I wouldn't be surprised to have over 30K real kills with it this season. But sadly, these do not track. I hope Bungie can provide an update to what is wrong with it and when it will be fixed.

1 ReplyDo kills from the Explosive Payload/Head or Firefly effects count towards the kill trackers on those weapons?
