How to keep track of the story?

Hi there, I'm new to the game so I guess this might sound silly. Is there any way to keep up with the seasonal storylines of the game besides watching videos on youtube? Can I replay older seasons?

Read the lore books. Bungie is -blam!-ing awful in storytelling through gameplay but the lore is so damn good
