Special Letters in Names
Hey,
I am not sure about the theme where I should ask it (sorry if it isnt the right way to ask).
I want to know if its allowed to use special letters like __ (means "I_am_boosted" at least when I copy it in my steam name) and I want to know if its allowed to use.
I am asking because I dont see that much people using it anymore there were a few people in crucible matches who had something like it in the name and I am not sure if its allowed if it is I would change my name ingame. If it is not allowed he is going to change his name.

For account names, the game displays whatever the account name is. If there are any problems, either Steam wouldn't allow you to use the character(s) in the first place, or they might display differently in-game than on your Steam profile. Some special characters or creative uses of fonts will not display correctly on Bungie.net and will appear as empty rectangles.

They copied the Destiny Keys Font from the Destiny 2 game into their Windows Fonts. I have the Destiny Keys Font installed in chrome.

Special letters in names are not much of a problem, and would likely be handled by steam if they were, however if there are special letters in your clan name, that may affect any console players in your clan.

1 ReplyWhy anyone making there name look like that would think it was cool I have no idea. Bungie may or may not take action regarding these kind of names however at this present time they have more pressing things to worry about. Advice if you don't want to look like a 12yr old or risk repercussions don't so it, common sense really.
