The real question is when can we separate our melee ability from the actual melee?
I see all these controller changes and would like if you make it possible to change the ability and melee. Im tired of trying to throw me knife and stabbing a million thrall. Or vice versa, trying to stab one thrall and throwing my knife out of existence. I highly doubt this change will happen but one can hope.

This is also an issue on M&K and I have noticed when you have a melee charge your lung melee is a tick slower than other classes. (Only on the ranged melees, Gunslinger knife/knives and smoke. How had would it be to let us nap a different button or chose a hold to use ability tap to melee? ( I believe it is an issue with Stormcaller and top Tree Dawn too but been a while since I played those classes) That create an inherit imbalance when up close trying to double melee someone.

For anyone wondering about button mapping for controller go to the section Verbs, verbs, verbs in the control q&a You can change input command as well as time dilation for inputs Personally smoke bomb can go on the d pad I don’t need emotes never really use them

If you just tap the button you just do your regular non fully charged melee. When you hold it down it would use your melee meter. On that topic I think with greater strength stacks you get more charges for abilities. Make this more of an mmorpg feel, and allow exotics to make them more powerful in other ways.

I might switch barricade to the tap L3 since i changed the sprint to the L4 button attachment on my ps4.

Switching it to a hold or double tap of melee button should suffice.

It would be very easy for m&kb because you can just bind it to one of your secondary melee binds, for controller I'd say have it involve either double tap or long press melee for melee ability

I love when my hunter decides being sucked into a mob of cursed thralls for a melee is better than trying to jump scape and throw smoke xD

Hold or double tap ability might be the easiest one, still on the same button

Would be appreciated. Hate wasting my Charged melees on my warlock just because a thrall runs up to me. Especially with Ball Lightning. At least with the other projectile melees, if you hit them at point blank, it doesn’t waste your ability.
