Back in Rise of Iron, I fell in love with PvP and that s been my main focus this whole time. Get good guns and armor and get in the Crucible. Not anymore. Melee whiffs, super whiffs, bad connections, and now more recently error codes ruining the trials experience AND competitive. The sandbox balance is getting there more than ever now, but I've had enough. Bungie can t take PvP seriously. So neither am I. For all of you there still playing PvP all day, I wish you good luck. But the game is simply not made for this, as great as it would've been if it were

14 RepliesI absolutely agree Aeoxin. I played my first 6 matches of trials since D1 this week. I jumped in with a couple of descent players from my clan, just to make up a team. We all had a good laugh, even though we lost every match. I saw 3 weapons in those games, summoner, suros and fellwinters, and the speed and power of the opposition was frightening. It was like trying to complete a master nightmare hunt with a level 750 character! Which brings me to the reasons I don't play much PvP anymore. You have regular crucible, competitive, iron banner and trials. Same weapons and characters, same grenades, supers etc. So why are they so different in gameplay? I need to know from the people who write and code these games, why in one mode of PvP, my set up can work well, but in another mode cannot even take a shield off an opponent, yet they can cut me down in a split second, even though we use the same weapons and armour of similar levels. We are all bound by the same limits to speed and defence also, so how do some players overcome the limits? So come on you Bungie tech experts, let's have some truthful and detailed explanations on how PvP REALLY works, because the gap between a good and a bad player CANNOT be that great given that we are all limited to the boundaries of the game.

3 RepliesPvP was never good in this game. It might have been fun at one point, but not good.
-
5 RepliesVanilla D1 was the purest time for PvP No obsessive meta No Trials to dictate life as we know it No over-dependency on specials or any sort of one-shot kill Just casual fun shooting each other

3 RepliesI feel less angry ever since I quit pvp, I am finally at peace.

The sandbox balance is getting there more than ever now.
Lost me about here. I don’t think so, friendo. As far as your refusal to take PvP seriously, that was overdue. There’s never been a period in time where Destiny’s PvP was worth taking seriously. I don’t think it was ever intended to be, based on the foundation it’s built on. There are other games to play if one wants to prove how adept they are at games. Certainly more credible ones, balance and mechanic wise.

The sand box DEFINITELY isn’t getting there... crucible feels worse than ever, passive gameplay mixed with everything having a really low ttk is god awful and that’s exactly what the current meta brings.

6 RepliesDestiny 1 Year 3 was the best PvP has ever been. Better ammo economy, better maps, better aiming, bigger guardians, less lag, better rewards, better graphics, etc. Now, it's pretty much a joke. D2 PvP has lousy rewards, lag city, crap maps, terrible console graphics, and some of the worst spawn points I have ever seen.
-
Crucible is a comical nightmare These days if I play crucible, I do things like run into the enemy spawn point, and try to make it out alive. Lol.. I dont give even half a shit about winning, etc.

5 RepliesSo, 3.75 years then?

Edited by eightyseix: 6/9/2020 7:43:13 AMI stopped playing destiny for a few months and finally hopped on it yesterday. Pvp is still utter disappointment as per usual smh why is bungie incapable of creating a balanced game? Wish another dev took over destiny

3 RepliesSo 3.5 years then, not 5

1 ReplyA lot of supers are unbalanced compared to others in the current sandbox. Warlock supers right now are some of the best compared to Titans and hunters.
-
Yeah pvp in this game can be summed up it one word: bullshit
-
So... you're basically saying that pvp has gotten better and that you're very happy about it, but because of that you're quitting... Wat?

1 Replyi just can't believe how Broken some roaming Supers have become, and 1hk Melee abilities across all classes are just so silly, this game is getting so weird

I have a habit I just can’t kick.

3 RepliesI cant take dying to random stuff in crucible, shotguns are everywhere, snipers are everywhere, a huge lack of primary weapons because everyone runs with scavenger mods and have no need to ever use their primary. There are a ton of broken ultimates in the game with an insane amount of armor, it makes no sense for example how much more armor an arcstrider has over a stormcaller. Arcstriders are much faster, much harder to hit and one shots while stormcaller had an actual ttk, only uses one animation which makes it easy to shut down with snipers and a very slow ultimate overall with the blink being a joke. The balance is out of the window and there is no common sense being used whenever I see bungie come up with a new sandbox, is it really that hard to fix the range on certain weapons and adjust how effective something is? Why are aggressive frames one shotting at farther ranges than a slug shotgun? Where is the common sense? Slugs should have the farthest range because they require headshots, other types should have much less range. So many issues with the game that pvp is just an overall joke

All day grinding pvp isn't that fun to me. I like playing 5-10 games at a time and switch to other things. That's what's great about destiny, so much stuff you can do. I also play other games if I'm all caught up.

This game should continue as a PvE game and get rid of PvP and make it a separate game. And get better servers, game balance and eliminate unwanted cheaters, hackers and no lifers. You're welcome.
-
If this game were totally free it might be worth a look but if they expect you to pay money for seasons and dlc it needs to be better.
-
we NEED dedicated servers

3 RepliesPlaying pvp in asia is much worse as players from china are constantly lagging due to their bad network and usage of vpn. When can bungie just region lock them? Its bad, some of my shots not register instantly most of the times. Region lock china player from us and that would have solve this problem.
-
Always a feels bad. But bungie never took pvp seriously other then vanilla d2. They did make changes geared towards a more competitive experience and the community absolutely hated it. Games background problems forever plague the game. F2p always allows more cheating in a game. Weapon and super balance screams casuals are welcomed here. Tick rate feels like shit especially when higher rof weapons are meta. Pvp has degraded heavily over the last while. Lots of better pvp options out there

They should have never mixed PVE and PVP, they are not up to it it just ruins both.

2 RepliesLuke Smith cheated to get to 5500 by win trading. What do you expect? He is the clueless leader or as i call him the cancer that killed Destiny.
