Forsaken was the Golden Age of the entire Franchise
Title^
Been on since dark below and would watch the original destiny launch before I owned the game,
From the story to the music to the maps to the gameplay and objectives and everything was amazing, I have such nostalgia from when my friends would still play with me playing gambit and doing the story all night.

1 ReplyI always liked D1Y1. The end of House of Wolves felt awesome to me. I had some good times in Prison of Elders, VOG, and Crotas End. Thorn, Hawkmoon, and Last Word crucible META was frustrating and fun at the same time. FateBringer, Black Hammer, and Gjallarhorn. It was unbalanced as hell, but man it was fun.

I don't remember Forsaken? When during The Taken King was that?

Edited by NerdslayerNo1: 6/7/2020 7:47:44 AMI would say Taken King for me. Swords, The new dreadnaught space, searching hidden ghosts, that 6 man event thing. The Dreadnaught strikes were some of my favorite in Destiny. The swords, the special three boss exotic sword quest. the darkblade strike. Strike specific loot too. I'm not a big raider but the raid was good. lots of sidequests on the dreadnaught. Remember those ones where you had to run super fast and jump on the platforms to get to the chests? And the big ogre that would spawn right when you landed. Yeah for me that had a ton of stuff. I kinda thought they'd make the Almighty a playable space too eventually but nope. Forsaken was decent. Added some things to do, decent story. Dreaming city is the best location in the game for me and underused. And honestly original D1 was ok for me cause there was a ton to do and figure out. Now also lots of tedious crap and farming which i hate. And gun leveling sucked. Glad that stuff is gone.

Forsaken was great, but there have been arguably just as good if not slightly better, just depends. Definitely was great though, but I wouldn't go as far as saying golden age. Thats just me though.

1 ReplyIntersting how opinions vary. For me Forsaken was a bad DLC. Didn't like it. Dreaming City would have been nice without that ascendant crap. Gambit is horrible unbalanced etc... but good for you that you liked. For me the highlight of that franchise was y2 of D1
